Two days before the banquet.Y/n was slowly counting down her doomsday.
Tapping her finger on her vanity desk, she could only boredom wait for Pixal to return. Her head maid was called outside randomly- apparently by some messenger from the Royal Palace. Luckily for Y/n, she had finished her daily etiquette classes, along with her dress fittings (finally picking out a dress for her banquet after a whole three months).
Her eyes rolled over to her glass doors, leading to a balcony that she had jumped off from multiple times to escape reality. The thought of visiting her spot lingered in her mind.
'I wonder if I'll see that knight again.'
It was until she heard the door creak open was when she snapped out of her daze. Y/n whipped her head to the entrance of her bedchambers, Pixal gently closing the door behind her after stepping in fully.
Pixal faced the princess with a worried look, a slight frown appeared on her rather young features despite being older than Y/n. Sensing the tension, Y/n quickly stood up from her chair, clenching her fists.
"What's wrong?" Y/n mustered out in a quiet voice, almost as she forced herself to squeak out the question.
Is Pixal going to get fired? Did someone find out about Y/n's late-night sneaking out? Who ratted her out?? Or was it something worse? Like-
"...The Royal Family wants you to move into the Royal Palace. Today." Pixal stated with a sigh.
Y/n paused. "....What?"
Pixal walked over to the female, sitting down the Princess on her silk bed.
"Your birth mother requested that you come to the Royal Palace today.. The messenger arrived with multiple horses to bring your belongings and furniture to their home." Pixal explained, holding your hands. "This is the first time I've heard about this. If you are against it, I can try to-"
"No, it's fine."
Pixal's eyes widened at your response. "R-really..?"
Y/n chuckled dryly. "It's not like I have a choice, right? If they want me to be there, then I'll have to be there."
"Oh, Y/n..." Pixal frowned, yet she some what expected that response.
Y/n pushed herself off the bed, clenching onto Pixal's hands.
"Well, I think I needa get ready. Will you help me choose an outfit?" Y/n gave a soft smile towards Pixal, making the maid nod.
"Of course. I would love to."
Lloyd's footsteps echoed down the hallway. The sun was already high up in the air, indicating a late morning- was it almost lunch?
Lloyd tugged on his tie, having to just wake up at this hour. He decided that it was best to just sleep in for a few extra hours. He stayed up late helping organize the banquet for his sister. The paperwork was no joke, but he pulled through with an all-nighter despite Zane's warnings.
Speaking of the Knight if Ice, Lloyd caught sight of the said male standing outside with a clipboard, instructing servants that held boxes or furniture into the east wing- an area that was never occupied by anybody. Was someone moving in? But who?
Lloyd exited out into the garden, instantly walking up to Zane.
"What's going on?" Lloyd asked, catching Zane's attention.
Zane peeled his eyes off the paper, caught by surprise at the sight of the dear prince.
"Good morning, your majesty." Zane greeted with a bow. "We are currently moving in furniture and servants from the Castle Up the Stars to the East wing."
