Chapter 31

Ava and Emma prepared themselves to dance. When it was their turn, the danced on « Way down we go ». They won the competition. After the competition, the girls joined their friends who congratulated them. Gerard took Ava in his arms and made her spin.

Gerard : That was amazing

Ava : Thank you Gerard

Gerard : Seriously

They looked at each other.

Gerard : Can I kiss you ?

Ava : Yeah

Gerard kissed Ava. Joey went to Emma.

Joey : Nice legs out there

Emma : Nice shirt in the crowd, I could see it miles away

Joey hugged Emma. The Kavannaghs and Gibsons came to hug and congratulate the girls. They all went to Emma's and Gerard's to celebrate the victory.

The end of the year arrived and the graduation day arrived for the oldest of the group. Some of them still had to choose where they'll be going but the happiness was there. They all met each other at the Kavannagh's. The parents took lots of pictures.

Johnny : Alright folks, we're gonna be late

Edel : One more, one more

They all giggled and took one last picture before driving to the graduation. This year everybody worked their asses off but Ava made it to the top. She was the one giving the speech in front of everybody.

Ava : This year has been full of surprises for everybody. Good or bad, they had been a lot. And I'm proud to be here today. I'm proud that every member of this Year 13 got through this year and arrived where they are today. We should all be proud about what we accomplished. When I got the scholarship I didn't know what to expect from Tommen. I was scared to come in and not find my place. But what Tommen gave me was worth it. I found some genuine people, who didn't judge and accept me for who I was. I found my chosen family. I made some incredible friends, and met some incredible people in this school. So to each one of my classmates and my year mates. We've made it ! And I'm proud of everyone. You all made a difference in my life. I think we all made a difference in each other's lives.Even if we just see each other across the hall, or just sat next to each other at a rugby game. Or even smiled at one another without saying a word. Thank you for making a difference. We should all be proud of ourselves. We don't know what the future holds for us but we know one thing for sure. If we feel down, we can think about this place. There is only one Tommen and it is here, it is our "home". So please if you feel down or just happy, or just wanting to tell your day to someone, do not forget the people that were here. Do not hesitate to call your friends . Going away does not mean leaving everyone behind you. I'll cherish every one of you, and every one of the teachers and school's staff who helped us this year.

I hope you all have a great and bright future. See you in the reunions.

The class of 2005.

At the end of the speech everyone had some tears in their eyes and they all applauded Ava. This was it, the end of high school. The group looked at one another smiling. After the graduation, they all went to a party.

The summer has arrived. Ava and Gerard officialized their relationship and were happy. Joey and Emma took care of each other and had a healthy relationship. Johnny and Shannon were together and Johnny was ready to go to his rugby camp with Gerard. Lizzie and Claire started a relationship. Everyone was happy and they had the greatest time of their lives.
