I was sitting in the bath, washing the blood off my feet when I sensed Elijah's presence.

"Come to check up on me?" I asked, expressionless.

"You've had an eventful evening."

I smiled, slightly. "I was having a crappy day, so Klaus took me out to the Cauldron. Wouldn't you know, we ran into some witches."

And I had relished in their deaths, I didn't even bother to hide the bodies. The dead witch sitting at Elijah's feet was clear evidence and I'm sure he saw the one I killed in the courtyard.

"So would you like me to remove your leftovers?" Elijah asked, walking over the body towards me.

"You can do whatever you like," I said, standing up and facing my naked body towards him.

He grabbed a towel, quite angrily and gave it to me.

I smirked as I wrapped it around myself. "Oh, don't judge, Elijah! What I did is no worse than anything Klaus has ever done."

I hopped out of the bath, now covered in a towel.

"I would hope that you would hold yourself to a higher standard than Niklaus."

"I'm a hybrid now," I reminded him. "I have a werewolf temper to go with my new appetite and the witches who tried to kill my baby, they're worth nothing more than food. Excuse me."

I walked past him and went to get changed. I know that he doesn't like who I'm becoming, I can see it but I honestly don't care.

~*~*~

Due to Elijah's request, Klaus has taken me to the Bayou to find my pack.

"I told you this place is deserted."

"No, their scent is fresh," he told me. "They're hiding."

I rolled my eyes. "What else is new?"

"Which means somewhere nearby, we will find the remnants of your pack, perhaps even your queen."

"And then what?" I asked. "It's not like they're exactly gonna welcome us. If there's one thing these people hate more than vampires, it's hybrids."

"What they hate is their lack of power. Hence the willingness of their brethren to deal with that witch in exchange for rings but she hasn't gotten to your lot yet, so we need to get to them first and ensure they align with us."

I put my hands on my hips and smiled, skeptical. "Awesome. All we gotta do is find them."

"A task I leave to you."

I looked at him, confused. "What?"

"Well, go on! You're a hybrid now with heightened senses unlike anything under the sun, besides me."

I sighed, took a deep breath and concentrated for a moment before looking at Klaus and giving up.

"This is stupid," I started to walk away.

"Your people need a leader!" He told me. "You are wolf royalty."

"But I'm not their queen!" I yelled, turning to face him. "I am a mess! I cry all day, I feed all night!"

Klaus looked at me, concerned and I averted my gaze, not wanting to cry in front of him now.

"All I can think about is how much I miss my daughter."

Klaus walked closer to me. "Do you think you're alone in that pain?"

"Have you even thought about her once?" I asked, slightly angry.
