Perrie POV
Today is the day! Today the Glory Days tour begins!
Our alarm is set for half six and we have to be gone by seven to meet the girls and the taxis for eight. Our first show is tomorrow at Prenton Park in Birkenhead, which is a five hour drive from London. We are aiming to arrive in time for a late lunch and sound check the stage in the evening, so that tomorrow we can start rehearsing on the stage right away before performing that evening. Yesterday Ellie picked up Hatchi because he will be staying with her whilst we are on tour. When we are touring the UK I normally bring Hatchi with me but due to the terrible scheduling from Syco we are often flying between the UK and continental Europe. It isn't fair to Hatchi to keep making him fly so he is staying behind and Ellie offered to watch him.
Saying goodbye to him was so difficult, he is basically my child and best friend, and it really ruined the day. I cried when saying goodbye and once again in the car after dropping him off. Jade was so wonderful though, letting me take as much time as I needed to compose myself before we started the drive home. Back at the flat she made me lots of tea and held me on the sofa, kissing my neck and whispering sweet nothings whilst we watched Disney movies. I still can't believe that Jade is my girlfriend, she is so much more amazing than me, but she loves me anyways.
She turns our alarm clock off and I feel the duvet shift as she rolls over to face me. I turn over as well and my face is mere centimetres from hers. Our lips meet and we share a gentle kiss, not wanting to fully make out with morning breath. Jade's kisses are the best way to wake up and even though it only lasts a few seconds I am wide awake and smiling when she looks at me again.
"Good morning Periwinkle." Jade says, a soft smile on her face that makes my stomach feel all warm and fuzzy. We may be leaving our flat today but I don't think I will get homesick, not when Jade is by my side. She is my home.
"Morning J'adore." I reply, staring straight into her warm, chocolatey eyes. There is so much love behind them and I could lay like this for hours. But that isn't an option and Jade makes this very clear when she sits up.
"I'll go make us some breakfast. Can you carry the bags out?" she asks. Jade isn't a very strong person and I somehow always find myself carrying her stuff as well as my own. Jesy and Leigh say that I am whipped but I don't care if I am, not if it is for Jade.
I nod in agreement, and Jade gets out of bed and heads straight to the bathroom. When she is out of the room I get up myself and throw on the clothes I picked out last night, before putting my pyjamas into one of my bags. Leaving used clothes at home when we are away for months is disgusting and there is no time to wash and dry them, so we are both wearing pyjamas that are going on tour with us. We learnt lots of little tricks like this when we went on our first tour, finding a lot of problems that no one ever mentions about touring and living on the road. Jade is already out of the bathroom by the time I am dressed so I go in to freshen up. We both have a couple of suitcases and carry on bags, which take me several trips to bring to the front door. We are ready to leave only a couple of minutes past seven and a car is already waiting for us outside, being driven by one of the drivers we don't talk to.
Now that there is no worry about us being late and messing up the schedule, the early hour starts to hit me. My eyes feel so heavy and it is a struggle to keep them open. Without conscious thought my head drops onto Jade's shoulder, I can no longer keep it up. Only now do I notice a dull thudding at the back of my head and I internally groan.
"Get some more sleep, baby. I'll wake you when we arrive." Jade whispers and she starts stroking my hair gently, an act which almost always puts me to sleep. Okay, maybe my groan wasn't just internal, but Jade's permission to sleep is all I need to drift off.
