The Vampire Queen's Soulmate

chapter 3 meeting Felicity's parents

As the morning sun rose into the sky, Felicity was soon fluttering her eyes open as Kiyomi was preparing the carriage with some guards to ensure their safe trip and arrival to the human village. She sat up from her single bed stretching her arms up slowly, yawning as she did stretch.

She noticed to her side, A set of clothes was arranged for her, a dress similar to what she had worn yesterday but in a tea pink color. Felicity smiles and dresses into the clothes, before freshening up in the bathroom.

Felicity would roam the large room as she waits for Kiyomi, since she doesn't want to get lost, but she feels a bit hungry. As right on cue Kiyomi came in "Goodmorning dear, i see you are ready to go?" she said as she smiled a bit.

Felicity nodded "Well yes, but i do feel a bit hungry" she told her, Kiyomi nodded "My chefs have prepared some breakfast for you, i heard. humans quite like pancakes" she said, Felicity nodded.

"I do indeed like pancakes" Felicity said softly. Kiyomi nodded and offered her hand to hold just like yesterday. She brought her to the dining hall, Kiyomi gestured for Felicity to sit down in a chair on the end of the table. A maid with a bun in her hair would come in with Felicity's breakfast.

The maid has pink hair with black roots, The maid placed the plate in front of Felicity and stood next to Kiyomi to wait for further orders. Kiyomi nodded "Felicity, this is Yuki my personal maid" Kiyomi said.

"Yuki, this is Felicity, my soulmate" Kiyomi told Yuki, Yuki's eyes kind of lit up.

"Oh! it is a pleasure to meet you!" Yuki looked at Felicity "I hope to serve you two and do it correctly" she said as she bowed for them both.

Kiyomi thought she had to explain this sentence "Yuki's familymembers are all maids and butlers, they are the only family that are allowed to be close to royal vampire family, Its tradition mostly" Kiyomi explained this to Felicity

"For every new generation of vampire royalty a new generation of maids and butlers should come, its a bit complicated" Kiyomi added to her explanation.

Yuki nodded "Yeah, my main task is to serve Kiyomi and her soulmate, which is you" She said as she smiled brightly. Felicity nodded slowly to her, kind of understanding Yuki's task and occupation in the castle.

Yuki took off the cover of the plate, revealing the delicious looking pancakes. Which were mouth watering to look at.

Kiyomi would sit on a chair next to her, she wanted to stay close to her as she just found her soulmate yesterday, who she has been searching for atleast 4 centuries.

Felicity would look at Kiyomi for a moment before she started to eat the pancakes. They were delicious indeed, perfectly baked in the pan, a thicker height of the pancake then she was used to but very delicious.

Felicity tried her best to eat in a well mannered way, from what she could remember at this moment, from her manner lessons. Trying to make as less noise as she could, even though it is of course really delicious.

Kiyomi was thinking about her first meeting with Felicity her parents, she knows that they don't like vampires, let alone the vampire queen. Not to mention that the town's people probably already told Felicity her parents that Felicity is the soulmate of the vampire queen.

So it probably wouldn't go very well, but Kiyomi did want to give it a try. And Felicity needed to get her belongings, Kiyomi was pulled out of her thoughts, Felicity had finished the pancakes and the tea Yuki brew for her.

They were ready to go, Kiyomi and Felicity would walk trough the hallways to the main gate, outside the carriage  was waiting for them, it was slightly lighter outside but this being the vampire kingdom, the sun doesn't shine very bright here.
