KAELYNN GASLY RESIGNS WITH ALPINE ON THREE-YEAR CONTACT. August 20th 2025
Kaelynn Gasly has made the decision to stay with Alpine with a three-year contract. There is no news on how much Gasly has sighed for, but it's thought to be in the range of £1 million - £1.2 million, compared to her rookie salary of £500k for this year.
Team Principal, Jack Doohen had already spoken out in July about his desire to resign both drivers but stated that 'contacts are tricky business', suggesting that neither driver had made an agreement with Alpine back then.
Alpine have had an up and down season depending on track as the car isn't fully consistant. The team's pitstops and strategy often save track position for their drivers along with good racing. However, Gasly believes this is enough to stay with them.
"I like this team. I feel that is the best choice for me right now and I'll work hard with them for the following years." — Gasly.

FERRARI SIGNS RENÉE LECLERC ON TWO-YEAR CONTRACT.
September 2nd 2045.
Renée Leclerc will join Ferrari for the 2046 season after a brilliant rookie season for Alpine. The driver, born in Monaco, has collected 63 points so far and is sixth in the championship behind teammate, Kaelynn Gasly with 68 points.
This comes three weeks after current Ferrari driver, Emiliano Fernández announced he would be moving to Indycar with Arrow McLaren on a longer contract. It's also reported the move comes with a £2 million extra salary. Leclerc is thought to be paid £2.5 million, though there's no official statement on this.
Ferrari's decision has come quickly, though it was likely they'd take one of the alpine drivers due to consistency. Leclerc only had one DNF and it was down to the car, not the driver, which provides a lot of opportunity.
Notably, Renée Leclerc is the eldest daughter of two former F1 world champions. Her mother, Robyn Saunders, still holds plenty of World Record though some. have now been broken by Lily Norris, and Saunders is a muli-time world champion. Renée's father, Charles Leclerc, made his name with Ferrari too.
"I'm incredibly happy to be racing in the same team my dad did. I think he's happier than me! It's a big thing to race for Ferrari and they've made a lot of progress in the past few years. CARLOS SAINZ TO MOVE TO FERRARI TEAM PRINCIPAL IN 2025 AFTER JOANNA ROMEO ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT. September 14th 2045.
Joanna Romeo will retire at the end of the season after welcoming her first granddaughter, joining Lucia Romano in leaving the support. Both Italians have been Team Principal for a large people of teams in different series.
In her place will step Carlos Sainz. It's unknown who will take his place at Audi, but speculation suspects F2 ART Team Principal Vinn Doduke.
Carlos Sainz has given one Constructor's championship to Audi, along with two driver's championship. He's known to be a great manager and can drive Ferrari into victory one again with a new driver, Renée Leclerc, joining them too.
With Leclerc joining the team in 2025, we asked what Sainz had to say about the new sighing:
"I know Renée really well, as you know. I'm good friends with her dad, Charles, who I was teammate with. I didn't have a say in the decision of signing Renée but I know it was the right choice."

AARI VERSTAPPEN SIGNS WITH RED BULL RACING FOR 2026. September 20th 2025.
It seems we have a chaotic season on our hands once again as Verstappen signs with Red Bull Racing. He'll take a one year contract to begin with, with a £2 million signing for the first year.
Verstappen's mother is Team Principal, though she has no thought for the fact her son is joining. Anneli Verstappen has expressed on multiple occasions that son, Aari, is nothing more than a driver when they're in the paddock. She understands the need to split personal family relationship with racing life.
Anneli, who is the daughter of Kimi Raikkonen, kept her relationship with former world champion Max Verstappen out of the spotlight for a staggering three years. Even as teammates, no one had a solid idea the two were together until they announced the arrival of their son after taking a year out of the sport. This shows that Anneli and Aari will have no problem dealing with their new work arrangement.
Mason Jones had been racing for the team before announcing a switch after scoring little points in 2044. Alongside this, Jones had been nothing but trouble for Red Bull with constant contact and lack of points.
"I signed him because he's a good driver with good points. I did have conversations with other driver's, I'd be stupid not to but all were happy with their teams. Of course, Flash was our first choice as the one challenging Lily but he wants to stay with Lambo. Aari will do a great job with us and we have no doubt he's the right fit for our team." — Anneli Verstappen.
