In my dream,

I was back in that room-Emra's house, the same place where it all began. The grand chandelier dimly lit the space, casting long shadows on the walls. My reflection stared back at me from the large mirror across the room, the one where I saw... them.

Taehyung's hands were on me again, spinning me around as we danced, his touch cold, his face expressionless. But my focus wasn't on him-it was on the figure behind him. The one I hadn't been able to see clearly before.

As we spun, I caught a glimpse of the dark shape again-Emra. But it wasn't Emra as I knew her. Her face was warped, monstrous, like some hideous beast trying to break free of her human form. Her eyes glowed, a sickly yellow, and her smile was predatory, her features twisting more grotesquely with each second.

I tried to move, to scream, but my body wouldn't listen. Emra's figure grew larger, looming over Taehyung, her distorted, clawed hands reaching for me through the mirror.

My heart raced as her reflection finally overtook Taehyung, her monstrous form now fully visible. She grinned at me, her voice echoing in my head: "You can't escape..."

I jolted awake with a strangled gasp, my body covered in cold sweat, my breath coming in shallow bursts. The sound of my phone buzzing on the nightstand brought me back to reality.

Still trembling, I reached for the phone, my fingers unsteady as I answered.

"Hello?" My voice cracked.

"meet us after college okayy?we have somethingimportantto tell you " Yeonjun's voice came through the line, urgent.

I switched on all the lights in my room, it was 6 am and it wasn't going to be a sunny day in October, the weather app predicted thunderstorms by the evening.

---------------------------------------------

College flew by in a blur, though the pit in my stomach only grew.

They grey clouds gathered all across the sky casting darkness above the entire building.

It wasn't until the last class ended that I finally met up with Yeonjun and his crew. We gathered in a quiet corner of the courtyard. His girlfriend, Tessa, looked worried, while Jake and Rickey kept glancing at each other, clearly uneasy.

"Alright, what's going on?" I asked, folding my arms to steady myself.

Yeonjun stepped forward, looking me straight in the eye. "We know Emra and her dad are out of town right now, so... we're planning to break into their house. We need to get proof."

"Wait-what?" I stared at him, my mind racing. "That's insane."

"It's not just us being reckless," Tessa cut in, her voice trembling slightly. "We found something"

"We've been doing some digging, and... there's more to this than we thought. It's not just about Emra. KimTaehyung's not even the real CEO of Zell Industries.

His entire background could be a lie-fabricated. There are no clear records about his position; it all feels manipulated. We need to break into their house and find solid proof."

Yeonjun took a deep breath. "Look, we're not saying it's safe. But we need to get in there. If we can find anything-any evidence-it'll back up what we found. We need you, though, Tamrah. You've been in that house more than anyone."

I bit my lip, the weight of their plan sinking in. Break into Emra's house? Sure, they weren't there, but the thought of sneaking in felt too risky. Too real. "I don't know if I can..."

Then a piece of memory flashed in front of me ..

"Wait...there's an entry from kitchen...that emra always forgets to lock..."

"I can break in from there, it needs one blow to break the lock" my voice sounded energetic like I hadn't cried myself to sleep yesterday .

" You don't have to worry about that" Jake pulled a tool that looked like knives shaped like forceps.

"This tool can break any lock" He said with confidence, "I'll do it myself "

"you can't come in with me. If we get caught, they might spare me... but you guys? I can't risk it." I looked at Yeonjun who wanted to say something in protest but Tessa put a hand on his arm.

The look on their faces changed , they couldn't help but agree even I knew how much they wanted to be there.

I thought of how if they needed me for something, they wouldn't kill me this easy, not so fast , they'd need me to stay alive .

"You're right but, well still be there" Ricky handed me a Bluetooth earpiece.

"We'll stay connected. You'll tell us what's happening, and we'll be on standby. If something goes wrong, we're there. But you're the key to this. You know the place."

I nodded."Understood," I repeated, trying to keep my voice steady.

"Alright, but don't take any chances. If anything feels off, you get out, understood?" Yeonjun stood up and and grabbed his car keys.

"Understood " I repeated again.

As we parted ways, the weight of their plan settled heavily on my shoulders. This wasn't just about my best friend's strange behavior anymore. It was something bigger, darker. And I wasn't sure if I was ready to face it. But one thing was clear-I couldn't back down now.

Later, when I'd head back home, I'd meet them and get ready for what came next.
