Touya, 荼毘

"Sir!" Ava exclaimed, running into Touya's office. Liam was chatting with Touya as they were eating lunch. "Your father called. He's at the hospital."

"What?!" Touya shouted. He and Liam were on their feet immediately. "Which hospital? Why is he there?"

"H-he said he would tell you when you got there. He's at hospital ***."

"Thanks. Liam, let's go." Liam had already grabbed the keys and was halfway out the door. Touya sat impatiently in the car while Liam drove. Liam cursed every time he hit a red light. Soon though, he arrived. Rei was already there, waiting for him. "Where's Dad? What happened?"

"Come on," Rei said, grabbing Touya's wrist. "Your siblings are already here." She pulled him down the hall and they stopped on the top floor at the last room at the end of the hall. "Enji found out what happened to Miyuna. She was being abused...and...raped. He reported it to the police. Her family was arrested and she was sent to the hospital."

"So Dad wasn't hurt?"

"No," Fuyumi said. "The doctor wants to talk to you about her. And the police." Touya's eyes widened. "No! It's not bad, I told them that you knew her a little bit so they wanted to ask you some questions about her."

"Oh. I'll go find the doctor then." Turns out her doctor was the same person who treated Touya after his accident. "Hey."

"Hey, Touya!" Dr. Cora said. "Can I go over Miyuna's injuries with you?"

"Yeah. Sure, how bad is it...?" Dr. Cora looked up at him sadly.

"They're worse than yours..." Touya flinched, Dr. Cora was always his doctor. He didn't want any other one. She didn't flinch every time she had to treat his burns. Now, he didn't have them but for five years, he was scared all over. Back then, he was only ten, and Cora helped him a lot. She'd even recommended he talk to Amei, who became one of his close friends even though he didn't have to go to therapy anymore. Cora always said that he was her worst case.

"What are they?"

"Dehydration, starvation, broken ribs, sprained ankle... and we managed to bandage all the lacerations... in addition to all this, she has bruises and rashes from all the rope and chains cutting into her skin. Because of how dark the room was, she hadn't gotten enough vitamin D. This puts her at high risk for diseases and some cancers. We've set her bed up close to the window so she gets sunlight. There are also some things she can eat to get more to make up for the vitamins she lost. I'll send you a list of things to help her. It's a miracle she's even alive." Touya put his head in his hands. Cora rubbed his shoulder. "She'll be okay. Miyuna will wake up soon but the mental toll will be worse than yours..." Touya stood up and blew out a shaky breath.

"I'll try my best to help her."

"Thank you. I'll let Amei know you recommended her to someone who needs some help. Should I tell her everything I know?"

"Yeah." Touya left and went to find his family. Shoto was sitting by the door. "Hey, Sho." Shoto looked up and ran over to Touya. He hugged him tightly. Touya was 17 when he first met Miyuna. They both were. Now, two years passed, and they were 19 now.

"Will Miyuna be okay?"

"I hope so." Cora poked her head out of Miyuna's room.

"She's awake if you want to see her," Cora said. Touya let go of Shoto and stepped into the room. Cora stepped out and shut the door behind her. He walked over and sat in the guest chair while Miyuna stirred. Her skin was pale as ice. She was thinner than the last time he'd seen her. Touya leaned forward and combed his fingers through her hair, gently rubbing her scalp. She peeked open one of her bright blue eyes.

"Hey."

"Touya?" Miyuna asked. Her voice was quiet and hoarse. "How did you get here?" Slowly she took in her surroundings. "How did I get here?"

"You're safe... no one's going to hurt you. My dad called the police, they arrested your family and brought you here." Miyuna's eyes widened a little. She pulled the blanket over her head and Touya rubbed her scalp. "They can't hurt you anymore. You're staying with my family." Miyuna peeked out of the blanket.

"Why'd you help me...?"

"Because I care about you." Miyuna's eyes grew as wide as saucers. Her arctic blue eyes were glossy. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she started sobbing. "Hey, hey. Don't cry. Shh..." Touya hugged her tightly. Miyuna buried her face in his chest. "People care. We did, we really did. Your parents told us you were getting help. I'm so so sorry I didn't check up on you. You're going to be okay." Touya wrapped the blanket around her shoulders as he held her. Distantly, he heard someone come in.

"Who are you?" Miyuna shrank into Touya's embrace, afraid of the newcomers. Rei brushed a strand of hair out of Miyuna's face.

"I'm Rei," Rei said, gently. "I'm Touya's mom. That's Enji, Shoto, Fuyumi, and Natsu."

"Hi!" Fuyumi said. Natsu smiled kindly at her while Shoto waved. "Nice to meet you."

💔 💗 💔

"Touya?" Miyuna's quiet voice asked. Touya looked over his shoulder to find her peeking into the room.

"Hey, what's up?" Touya asked. It's been two months or so since Miyuna was rescued. And three hours since she was discharged from the hospital. Touya ran to the door and caught her before she hit the ground. "You know you shouldn't do that. I told you to stay in bed." They were sharing a room since Enji still needed the old training room for sewing his designs. He carried her over to the bed and tucked her in. Touya stayed home from work so he could watch Miyuna. "Now. What were you doing up? I told you multiple times to stay on the couch."

"I was hungry..." Touya sighed and pulled the blanket up to Miyuna's neck.

"I'll go make you something. Just stay here, okay?"

"Okay." Touya left and cut up some mangos for her. Miyuna would be seeing Amei when she was strong enough to walk. Cora said it would be in about a week, so six days from now. He walked back to find Miyuna crying softly. Touya put the bowl on his desk and made his way to her side.

"Hey, what happened?" Touya put a hand on her forehead.

"J-just a nightmare." Touya frowned and helped her sit up. "I'm fine." She wiped her eyes. "I just forget that they can't get to me."

"It'll be better when you talk to Amei." Touya passed her the bowl of mangos. "She's a great help." Miyuna nodded. "If you ever need anything, just let me know. Kay? I'm here if you need me."

"Okay."
