Hera walked around Olympus, furious at her husband, for involving himself with another woman again. Another mortal woman. Another minor goddess. Hera was over it.
She had enough of watching him produce demigod children, so she decided she would make one of her own to see what the fuss was all about. Something to make Zeus feel exactly how she felt, betrayed.
Hera's feet lead her to Athena's pottery studio and start on making her creation. She molded the clay into the shape of a baby. She then willed the baby to life. Once the infant was alive, Hera started on customizing it on how she wanted it to be. The silver eyes that mirrored her own, platinum blonde hair to match Zeus's lighting bolts and the tan skin to finish the child.
"You will be my revenge. He will feel my anger, and it will be beautiful." Hera whispered. "Yet, he would not hesitate to kill you if you remain here on Olympus. That wouldn't be any good for my plans that I have for you."
She then decided to take the child to Camp Half-Blood, leaving the basket in front of the Big House. Satisfied, Hera claimed her child and then left, without giving her child a name or an explanation to Chiron.

Selene grew up under Chiron's care, with Dionysus doing the occasional parenting. She never left Camp Half-Blood unless she went on a quest. Due to growing up at camp, she was skilled in everything that the camp offered its campers.
Swinging her sword at the training dummy, the head flew off and landed a few feet away.
"Selena, what's got you so angry?" The wine god teased from the bleachers.
The fourteen year old shot him a glare. "You know why, Dio. It has been another year without a word from her." She spat out the last word with distaste.
The god sighed. "You know how she is. Also, Zeus said parenting is a big no-no for the gods."
She just scoffed in reply. "The other gods gift items to their children, while the only thing I have gotten from my mother is a stupid cabin. Technically, she didn't even give it to me! It was here already as a tribute to her!"
Dionysus stood up and made his way over. "Soon, child. One day she will give you something. Something that will outshine anything else that the gods have given to children, maybe she has already given you the greatest gift of all."
Selena looked up at him, horrified. "Please, as if you could be considered the greatest gift of all."
Dionysus frowned. "Oh, how you wound me, sister."
"I am not your sister. Just because our parents are married, it does not give us that relationship." She frowned.
"Whatever, shithead." He then flicked her forehead before walking off.

Screams ran out through the night, pulling the campers from their sleep. Selena quickly grabbed her sword and ran towards the source of the screaming. Once she had reached the source, she was met with a boy and two girls fighting off Furies alongside Grover.
