Time for the story to begin :D

7 Years Later

I slowly opened my eyes, being met with a room made of purely iron, with vines everywhere. Where.. am I?

Trying to move my arm, I'd finally noticed the glass in front of me, as well as the water surrounding me. Am I in some kind of tube? Wait- what's a tube?

Looking to my side, I saw.. someone else? They were rather colorful, their clothing matching a rainbow, and their hair being a vibrant red.

Before I knew it, their eyes met mine. "H..hi?" They said, tapping the glass on their end. I did the same, and tried to mimic the sound they made "H.." Okay- not so good at that.

They tapped on their tube even more, getting more aggressive every tap. Eventually, the glass started cracking, and for a lack of better words- exploded in our faces.

The water streamed out, the other person going with it. They landed on their face, quickly standing up, with a proud smile on their face. They looked around, and turned their attention back to me. "Hm.. try to do what I did!" I nodded, and began to tap on the glass.

It took me longer, maybe because I- oh yeah, I'm shorter. Dang. Anyways, I eventually was able to break the glass, landing on my face.

The other person helped me up, and we began to look around the room. There were blue papers everywhere, some detailing things about "Chromatic" or "Absorption". There was one even talking about.. souls?

I didn't understand any of it, and the other person didn't seem to either. Eventually, they had called attention to one piece of paper he had found hanging on a vine.

I walked over, and got a better look at it.

Rainbow: Wields the energy of all 7 chromatics, perfect counter for Nightmare.

The paper then described what seemed an awful lot like the other standing next to me. I looked at them, and I could see the resemblance. Vibrant red hair, vibrant yellow-orangeish eyes, a sweatshirt with all kinds of colors, and jeans. They seemed to notice this as well. "So.. I guess I'm.. Rainbow?" They said. "Cool! Lemme see what else is on here!"

Rainbow flipped the paper around, finding that there was writing on the back.

Light: Wields the energy of the light, perfect counter for Shadow Stone.

And lo and behold, the description below the text exactly matched my appearance. Almost purely white hair, vibrant blue eyes, a white jacket with a blue shirt underneath, a blue scarf around my neck, and gray jeans. "So your Light! We have names!" Rainbow shouted, startling me.

"Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to scare you." He said, giving a sympathetic smile. "I..it's fine." I said, somehow managing to make a coherent sentence. Maybe I learned fast from Rainbow? I don't know.

"We should probably leave this.. place. It's like.. old." I said, Rainbow nodded, grabbing my hand. I was decently shorter than him, maybe by a foot or two. Though neither of us were very tall.

As we made our way out of the room, passing by the entrance- or well, what remained of it, being met with a large, open cave. We made our way up, and saw a rather snowy landscape. Rainbow seemed to get cold when we stepped out, but oddly enough, it made me feel better, peaceful, even.

"Why is it so cold?" Rainbow frowned, wrapping his arms around his shoulders. "Feels fine to me." Rainbow raised an eyebrow, and I shrugged. The sky was almost pitch black, the only source of light being the stars. We were about to start walking, until we heard some sort of groaning.

Both of our heads snapped to the right, seeing a green-skinned.. person? They had a ripped up blue shirt, with dark blue pants, its eyes were pitch black, and it smelled like.. well, death.

"Get behind me." Rainbow said, and I did, no questions asked. That thing is terrifying. As the creature got closer, Rainbow was frantically looking around, trying to find something to protect us with.

He turned to look at me, with a panicked expression on his face. "So.. I um.. don't panic, but I don't know what to do."

Great. Just great. Neither of us knew what to do, and that thing was getting closer by the second. I thought of running, but at this point I had found the third option of fight or flight, freeze.

Just as the creature was about to attack, an arrow was shot through its head, causing it to fall over into a cloud of smoke.

"See? I didn't miss this time!" Someone called out, seemingly talking to someone else. We snapped our heads to where the voice was coming from, spotting a figure with green hair.

"Mhm, you did great hun." Another said, a blue haired figure. They both made their way over to us, I was able to see them clearly now.

The one with green hair had brown skin, a flower crown on their head, a dark green sweater, and brown pants. Their bow was attached to their waist.

The one with blue hair was a lighter tone, wearing a dark blue coat, with gold accents, along with almost pitch black pants.

"You two okay?" The blue haired man asked. "Yeah, we're okay." Rainbow responded. "Who are you two?" I asked, peeking from behind Rainbow.

"I'm Olive!" The green haired man said, in a rather cheery tone. "I'm Sapphire." Said the blue haired one.

"I'm Rainbow, and this is Light." Rainbow said, pointing to himself, then to me. "Why are you two out here at night? Especially when you're so young." Sapphire asked. Rainbow seemed confused, which was fair. I was to. "We.. don't really know? We just kinda woke up, in that cave in a room." He said, pointing to the cave behind us.

The two seemed shocked, as if this wasn't normal. "Sorry- you woke up in a cave? Do you remember anything before that?" Olive said, a hint of panic in his voice. "No.. At least I don't think." I said, now fully stepping out from behind Rainbow.

The two looked at each other, seemingly whispering, they then looked back at us. Sapphire spoke up. "Tell you what, since you don't seem to have anywhere to go, you can stay with us. It's.. dangerous out here at night, more mobs could be out, you were lucky it was just a zombie."

Me and Rainbow gave him a confused look. "..Zombie?" I said, having no clue what that was. Olive gave a worried look, but seemed to almost instantly lighten up.

"So.. we can keep them?" He said, a grin forming on his face. "Yes, love. We can keep them." Sapphire said, a smile now on his face.

Rainbow seemed to get excited at the idea, taking a step towards them. I followed, I was just as excited to find somewhere to stay.

"Follow us, stay close." Sapphire said, grabbing my hand, Olive grabbing Rainbows. We began to walk, and I took one last glance at the cave, and as we left, I couldn't help but wonder why we were there.

I watched the four walk away, a smirk forming onto my face. "So this is what he was talking about.. interesting. He'll be glad to know his work didn't go to waste." I turned around, and began to walk. If these were the right two, then things were about to get interesting.
