Bienvenue à Paris

I grabbed my suitcase as I leave the airport wondering what my plan was until I heard someone yelling my name.

" bonjour Zuri, par ici!" I then looked around and saw a short girl around my age waving while smiling widely at me. I knew Gregory had something to do with this so I smiled tightly as I walked over to the blonde woman.

" Hello! Zuri? Wow are you Zuri?, wow your more beautiful in person!" She rushed out in her thick accent, she wasn't even giving me any time to talk. "Hi I'm Jeanne!"

"I'm Zuri." I said awkwardly

" je sais je sais, Gregory told me you would need a guide and someone to accompany you. I love making friends and I was so glad that he chose me!" She said excitedly. " We're going to be such great friends and co-workers!"

"Oh." I simply said. She then stopped smiling before she smiled again wider.

" Shy? No worries I love to do all the talking anyways. Let me get you to your home, I know you must be tired from your flight. Tomorrow I have tons of activity plan for you!" She then lead me to her black car which I was going to go to the back seat but she then gasp and said ."No, No front! " I then sighed and go to the passenger seat.

...........

" You will have such a great time here in Paris, you probably won't ever want to go to America back again!" She said loudly as she stirred the driving wheel. I gulp and look out the window at the scene. There were a lot of people on the street, some were laughing loudly as they talked with there friends or spouses, enjoying there lives and all. I sighed loudly as I realize that Jeanne was still talking. " Do you have a boyfriend....or girlfriend? Zuri?"

"No"

" Oui oui oui, you can found a lover here! The men will go crazy over you! Your like a super model, so tall, skinny and pretty Zuri. Do you model as a side job!?"

"No."

" That's sad, you should but only if you want to. All lot of those girls have to suffer anyway because they starve themselves and have to force themselves to perfection. I think I could model because I've been told I have a unique face although-"

I tune her out, she was talking excessively. I lean back in her car that smell like lavender. I look through the window as we pass buildings, some look historic and I was in awe at the aesthetic France has.

" You must be so glad to have a father like Gregory.", She said and I chuckled lowly. It was a habit for Gregory to tell people that he adopted me when I was a child, at first I didn't liked it but eventually it grew on me.

"Yes, he is a good father."

" What happened to you're biological parents?" She asked and I looked through the window again and close my eyes tightly at the thought trying to fight back the memories that I tried my best to conceal. My therapists told me that it wasn't healthy to force my self to forget and that I had I to accept my past but its hard to and I feel like I will never overcome it if I keep on to think about them.

" I- I rather not say."

" Okay." She replied. " Oui, we are here!" It was a large historic building, from the outside you can tell it was definitely expensive. " Zuri, I will park and then come back to lead you to your apartment. " She said and I then opened the car door and take out my two suitcase and bag pack that I'd place round the backseat.

I looked around smiling in awe at the place. I was then interrupted by a man I assume was the door man.
