The next day, Branch was having a lovely date with his girlfriend, Queen Poppy while being interviewed about his recent research and development by reporter Vikki Vale.

Branch: In my work, I feel an obligation to remain committed to socially responsible programs. A prime example would be my recent work in the field of alternative energy sources.

Vikki: This'll be great for the papers. Thank you, Branch.

Branch: No problem.

Poppy: Amazing.

Branch: Well, I am getting better with socializing.

Poppy: I mean, you've been here nearly 40 minutes and haven't bolted for the door.

Branch: You know how my work sometimes calls me away.

Poppy: You don't have to tell me. I basically help you with it. But, don't worry, I consider it a good excuse.

Branch: Now I have a question for you, Poppy.

Poppy: Shoot.

Branch: Where's your friend group that follows you everywhere?

Poppy: I gave them all the day off. Figured that way Trollstopia can get to know the real Branch Rosiepuff.

Branch: Trollstopia? Or Queen Poppy?

Poppy: Well, I'm not the one who picked a restaurant with a beautiful view.

Branch: Not exactly. I promised Spruce I'd help him prepare for the Energy Expo on Vacay Island tomorrow night. Any chance you would like to come?

Poppy: Let me guess, as your date?

On Vacay Island, Brozone and Spruce's family were decorating for the Energy Expo while watching a news report.

Reporter: The tally of missing Trolls has spiked dramatically in Trollstopia this past week. With Trollstopia PD no closer to uncovering who or what might be behind the mysterious disappearances of these "Lost Ones". A cloud of fear hangs over our utopia.

Branch: Trollstopia PD aren't the only ones baffled.

John Dory: You think the missing Penguin is behind this?

Branch: No ransom demands. Not his style.

Spruce: And speaking of style, how was your dinner with Poppy?

Branch: Short, but sweet. I invited her to the Expo tomorrow night and arranged dinner Saturday.

Brandy: And to think I thought you prefer the company of arch-criminals.

Branch: On that note, let's hope tonight turns up Penguin or any of these "Lost Ones". I lost Joker. I'm not going to lose anyone else on my watch.
