After everything was back to normal, Alberta made the introductions between Samantha and Maximiliano, her grandson.

Samantha is an orphan and Nonna took her under her wing, thought Maximiliano, proud of his grandmother's greatness of soul. Indeed, Alberta was one of the most generous people in the world.
Just like his brother Sergio, Maximiliano was also suddenly happy that the young woman remained living with them at the manor.

Moreover, he even surprised himself by scrutinizing Samantha, who, red as a tomato, did not dare hold his gaze...

The presentations finished, and Maximiliano joined his father in his office to talk business. As he walked up the steps, Samantha couldn't help but stare at his broad, muscular back. And when he disappeared from her field of vision, Samantha turned to Alberta who was looking at her with an arched eyebrow.

-Uh, yes? Samantha asked when she saw that Alberta was looking at her strangely.

-I've been talking to you for a few seconds Samantha! She said, holding back her laughter.

-Oh, I'm sorry Nonna! Said Samantha, hiding her embarrassment. What were you already saying?

-I was saying that I enrolled you in a university not far from the city, and I was wondering if you wouldn't like to visit it, with me if you want.

-Oh, yes Nonna, of course! Samantha exclaimed jovially.

Why not? That way I'll be far away from that witch Simona. Samantha thought as she went to her room to get ready.

As planned, the two women went to the university where Samantha would start studying in a few months.

It was gigantic!

It was the most prestigious university in Italy, and the buildings were immense. Just seeing the many luxury cars parked in the parking lot, Samantha understood that this was a university for rich people.

She wondered if a poor girl like her had any place in such a university.

- Is something wrong my angel? Questioned Alberta who had noticed the young woman's sad expression.

-Um, it's just...

-You can tell me anything, I'm here for you know. Said the old lady, quickly fixing Samantha's hair.

-Nonna, it's a university for rich people. Samantha began, sighing. Look, everyone is well dressed, it's obvious that they're all rolling in gold, and I...I...

-You don't feel in your place, do you? Alberta guessed as the young woman searched for words.

-Um... indeed, I don't feel in my place. She finally said before lowering her head.

Alberta gave her a tender smile before delicately placing her index finger on her chin to lift the young woman's head.

-You risk not evolving with such thoughts Samantha, Nonna began. The importance is not to have big brand cars, beautiful clothes, luxury bags, jewelry, and so on. No! The importance is to love yourself, accept yourself as you are, have self-confidence, assert yourself, ...

The young woman listened to Alberta without interrupting her, she continued:

-Social status doesn't matter, I'm well-placed to tell you that money doesn't buy happiness. My daughter, stop looking at what people have or thinking about "what will people say about it". But be proud of yourself and believe in your abilities. I know you have it and that's why I believe in you, so do the same.
