**Faye's POV:**
Faye pulled the car into the photoshoot location, her eyes darting around the parking lot to ensure everything was secure before stepping out. She moved quickly to open Yoko's door, taking her handbag without a word. She followed Yoko, keeping a respectful distance but always alert, scanning the area with the trained precision that came from years of military discipline.
As they walked inside, Faye noticed the curious glances and whispers among the crew. She heard the murmurs about her being Yoko's fling, but she paid them no mind. It wasn't her place to interfere in such rumors, and correcting them was Yoko's choice. Her job was to keep Yoko safe, not to clear up misunderstandings. Yoko's eyes were sharp, her usual glare sending the crew back to their work.
When they reached the dressing room, Yoko settled into the chair, her demeanor unchanged as the makeup artist began her work. Faye took her usual position near the door, standing at attention, her gaze never lingering on any one thing for too long.
After a few moments, Yoko's voice cut through the quiet hum of the dressing room. "You know you can sit, right?"
The annoyance in Yoko's tone was clear, but Faye just shook her head slightly, a small smile playing at the corner of her lips. "It's okay, I'm okay," she responded softly. She wasn't here for comfort; she was here to do her job.
Once Yoko began the photoshoot, Faye found it difficult to watch. Not because she wasn't capable, but because seeing Yoko in her element, so confident and radiant, made something stir in her chest. She focused her gaze downward, her mind wrestling with unfamiliar feelings that had no place in her professional life.
That's when the girl approached her.
"Hi, my first time seeing you here... My name is Apple," the girl said, her voice sweet and coy. She held out a drink, her eyes full of intent.
Faye sighed internally, her mind on high alert. She knew Yoko was watching her from a distance. Politely, she declined the drink, her voice firm but not unkind. "Yeah, I'm here for Ms. Apasra," she said, her tone leaving no room for further conversation.
But Apple was persistent. "You're really handsome... Here's my number," she said, a sly smile on her lips as she pressed the piece of paper into Faye's hand.
Faye was taken aback by the girl's boldness. She looked down at the number, unsure of how to react, when Yoko's sharp voice cut through the air like a knife.
"Are you done flirting?"
Faye's head snapped up, her eyes locking onto Yoko's. There was a flash of something in Yoko's gaze—jealousy, maybe? Whatever it was, it caught Faye off guard. She hadn't intended to flirt, hadn't even thought about it, but now she was in a position she hadn't prepared for.
"No, I wasn't..." Faye began, her voice trailing off as Yoko's expression hardened.
——
As soon as Yoko saw the girl, Apple, talking to Faye, a surge of irritation ran through her. She couldn't believe the audacity—how could anyone be so bold as to flirt with Faye, especially right in front of her? When she saw the girl offering her number to Faye, Yoko felt a flash of possessiveness that she hadn't fully acknowledged before.
Yoko's sharp heels clicked against the studio floor as she approached them, her eyes narrowing at the scene. Without hesitation, she interjected, her voice laced with an icy edge. "Are you done flirting?"
Faye looked up, "I wasn't....." startled by the sudden interruption, her eyes locking with Yoko's for a split second before glancing away, unsure how to respond. Apple, on the other hand, seemed unfazed by Yoko's sharp tone, still holding out her number toward Faye, as if oblivious to the storm brewing in Yoko's eyes.
