I blinked, trying to regain my composure. A few strands of his hair fell onto his forehead, nearly covering his eyes.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not ready to participate in this show" his voice was firm even though the mask muffled it.
"Who are you?" I asked again, furrowing my eyebrows at him.
"Not someone you know" he answered, combing the fallen strands back to their place with his hand.
"Who are you? That's a question I'm raising" I said, emphasizing every word.
"Exactly, not someone you know and I don't have enough time to roleplay or anything, so excuse me"
Even though the encounter caught me off guard he was giving off Ezekiel's energy making it easier to keep myself composed.
"Well, well, what do we have in here?" I let out a loud scoff "Mister you are not leaving until we are done with our business–"
"I don't know who you are or what your business is and I don't care." he took a firm step towards me "Get out of my way. That's all I ask for" he took a deep breath in and exhaled with his eyes shut tightly. There was something about him, maybe it was his bloodshot eyes or the intensity of his tone and figure, or perhaps the features together didn't give off a particular vibe. It was visible that he was having a tsunami going on inside him.
"I'm afraid we can't" I shook my head.
"Seriously? You people, have no consideration for others, do you? I'm in an emergency and I need to leave. Right now." annoyance seeped into his tone.
"Watch your tone, kid. You don't know who you are messing with" one of the members spoke, stepping forward.
"I'm not a kid." he shot a menacing glare at the one who spoke "Move now or I'll make you regret it" he pointed a finger at me.
"I told–"
"Winda, don't make a scene there. We'll deal with him later" Ezekiel's voice interrupted through the earpiece.
"But, how?" I raised my palm to stop anything that was about to take place and turned around to face the door.
"I have his picture. It'll only take a few minutes to know who he is" I heard keyboards clanking and Ezekiel continued "The elevator moving in one, two, three"
I let out a silent gasp at the sudden grunt the elevator made and it started to move. One by one everyone got outside at the next stop. I tapped my foot waiting for the intruder to step out.
"Ground floor" I heard a whisper, without taking a glance at him I pressed the button, and the elevator started moving again.
"My day wasn't going well" I turned to meet his face, hearing him talk. "I...I'm sorry if I was a bit rude" he scratched the back of his neck, looking down. Disbelief spread inside me as his apology sank in slowly.
"Well, We'll meet again" I turned around again, hearing the elevator door open with a ting "Very soon" I stepped outside and before I could take a breath in, the guy sprinted out through the exit. I looked one last time inside the elevator before it closed. Questions were throbbing from every curve of my brain.
"Ezekiel. I need details as soon as possible" I mumbled exiting the building.
"I got it" Ezekiel replied through the shuffling sound of something "he lives only three miles away from yours"
"Three?" the chances of him being a spy stood out even more.
"Three. Also, there seems to be an ongoing registration in a hospital. Wait for a second, let me screw this up a little bit more" Ezekiel said, followed by a crash and groan "Sorry, this chair isn't the best" as a series of keyboard clacking again prickled my ears.
