Ghost and the rest of the team exited the van and prepared to head out to rescue Ajax. They hid the van in the jungle and covered it with branches and leaves.
Ghost: "How far are we from their hideout, Sophia?"
Sophia: "It's not far. We're about ten mikes away."
Ghost: "That's good. There's no time to waste. We'll follow your lead."
Burns: "Is it always ladies' first before us?"
Sophia: "You got a problem with that, Marcus?"
Burns: "I don't luv. Let's just say I'm being overprotective."
Sophia: Hmm. *Smirks* "I see." (My Knight and shiny armor.) "How about this: after we finish our mission, let's get ourselves a drink."
Burns: *Smirks* "I like the sound of that."
Ghost: "Alright, chatting's over, gents, let's get going."
Roach: "Right behind ya."
The team now headed out to rescue Ajax. As they enter the jungle, they disappear. But within the shadows, a shadow figure was watching from a distance.
???: *Comms* "Stalker One, I found them."
Stalker One: *Comms* "We're on our way."
USA–The Pentagon...
Laswell walks out of her office and down the hallway, carrying her laptop. Approaching the door, she opens it to see Shepherd having a small meeting with three people.
Shepherd: "Laswell?"
Laswell: "Sorry if I'm interrupting you, General. But this is urgent."
Shepherd: "Laswell? I was in the middle of an important conversation with-"
Laswell: "It's about Ajax, General. I found him."
Shepherd stared at Laswell momentarily before looking at the people before him.
Shepherd: "Leave us."
The three people quickly left his office.
Shepherd: "Where?"
She places the laptop on his desk, opens it, and turns it to him, showing the location.
Laswell: "In Thailand, near the borders of Cambodia."
Shepherd: "Why the hell is he there?"
Laswell: "I don't know, but Tyler and his team are there now to get him."
Shepherd: "And how do you know this?"
Laswell: "Agent Blackwater told me."
Shepherd: *Raised an eyebrow* "Edith? I haven't heard from her for a long time. So she's the one who is tagging along with Tyler and his team."
Laswell: "Yes, and she is our only CIA contact in Roanapur. She's been there longer than anyone else?"
Shepherd: "Hmm. Are they still proceeding on the mission?"
Laswell: "Yes. Tyler and his team are staying on course."
Shepherd: "Good. I need to know what happened to Ajax and the rest of his team."
