Gracelynn

I was sitting in my car in the school parking lot waiting for 8:30 to hit so I could head towards the main building. I was remembering what happened this morning between my dad and Grayson and honestly, it's been going on for a while now. I admire Grayson for standing up for what he wants but I think my dad just wants the best for us which is why he's strict with us about our grades and extracurricular activities. I'm a dancer most people would call me a ballerina because it's ballet, but I don't mind. I take one last sip of my Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew; I always go to Starbucks on my way to school and it's honestly an addiction as this point an as a dancer, I know I need to chill on the caffeine.

I tapped my phone showing me the time of 8:25, I grabbed my bookbag and dance bag from the passenger seat, getting out the car before locking it behind me. I shiver as the cold breeze hit my legs. Apart of me knows I should have worn trousers considering the fact it's getting cold again in France but knowing me I love wearing my skirt but it's not so bad because of my knee-high socks. I walk towards the main building looking around at all the students either still sitting in or around their cars, I walked into the commons area looking for my best friend Ashlee. Me and Ashlee met during middle school and been inseparable since, Ashlee and I usually meet under the oak tree by the library in the commons area.

I walked towards our usual spot spotting Ashlee's perfectly coiled curly hair but, I notice she's not alone. "Salut ma chérie" Hey bestie. I said wrapping my arm around her. "Hey Gracie, tu m'as manqué" I missed you, Ashlee said hugging me tightly and tapping my nose afterwards. I notice someone standing in front of us and it's no one other than Xaiver looking at me intensely waiting for me to acknowledge him. "Quoi de neuf Grace, toujours aussi bien" What's up Grace, still looking good as ever. "Goodmorning Xaiver, welcome home how was America?" I questioned him as he was going in for a hug. "It was pretty good; it was a vibe. You smell really good by the way." He said as I hugged him back and glancing at Ash to see if she was noticing what I was noticing.

"Don't you have to go find Grayson or something?" Ashlee said with her hands on her hips. "Yeah actually I do, I'll catch up with y'all later, Au revoir" Bye. he said as I watched him disappear into the crowd of many students. "He has to stop hitting on you, I'm not sure if he can't take a hint but you're not interested in dating plus you're his best friend's little sister." Ashlee said turning her attention towards me. "Yeah I know but I don't want to be mean, he's a great guy but I don't have time for relationships." I said looking at the ground, and it was true due to school and dancing which takes up most of my time I had no time nor interest in dating even Ash knew that. "Well you have to in order for him to understand or he's going to keep making you feel uncomfortable." Ashlee said as we're walking into the lecture hall to grab our books from our lockers.
