It was finally Friday and I was at my vanity finishing up my makeup for school. On game days we're allowed to wear our school's spirit shirts which were gray and white with our uniform skirts. Once I finished my makeup I added a gray headband in my hair that sat on the front of my hair which was slicked down and the rest of my hair was down. I grabbed my backpack and left my room.

I entered the kitchen seeing Cecile but my dad was nowhere to be found, I was still upset after his temper tantrum yesterday in the office. I didn't bother to ask Cecile where he was and I also didn't plan on speaking to her this morning. "Ugh, this generation of teenagers does not know how to be respectful and greet others" Cecile said rolling her eyes as she sat at the wooden table sipping on her coffee.

I was so tired of her and her slick remarks towards me and Grayson. I paused and looked at her "You sure know how to start a lovely conversation" I said sarcastically as I packed my school lunch. "And you sure know how to push your father's buttons, he told me what happened at the office" she spoke in an annoyed tone. Just as she said that Grayson came into the kitchen. I stayed silent after Cecile's statement letting her have the win because I wasn't about to let her ruin my Friday morning.

"Hey uh, can I ride with you to school? Grayson said lowly. I turned to him and my eyes went wide as I seen him with his eyes low and really puffy eye bags. My shocked turned into confusion and Grayson soon mouthed "Don't worry about it." so Cecile wouldn't hear us. I nodded to his question and statement making me grab my things and keys as me and Grayson headed out the front door.

"Don't worry about it?! Grayson are you okay?" I said as soon as we got in my Jeep. He just looked down and said "I'm fine Grace, can we just go to school?" "You know I'm here for you Grayson if you need to talk or anything." I said leaving out of our driveway "I know, just a rough morning." he said lowly.

We had finally gotten to school and was able to get a decent parking spot and of course I stopped and got Starbucks, Grayson didn't want anything surprisingly. I quickly finished my drink as I grabbed my things and we both headed towards the building. All my classes were pretty chill as all I had to do was take a bunch of quizzes and what not. I received a message from the ballet team group chat announcing that practice was canceled due to the football game.

The bell had rang and I walked out of class meeting up with Ashlee and Belle. "Are you girls ready for the game tonight?" Ashlee asked us as we headed to the parking lot. "So excited! Let's go Eagles!" Belle said as she jumped around making her ginger pigtails with navy blue and white ribbons bounce up and down. Our football team has always been a winning team except for when we get to the finals, hopefully this year we make it and beat our rival school, Lakewood High School and it was ironic since their colors were red and white and ours were navy blue and white. Although we may not beat them in the finals West Valley's student body sure does know how to show school spirit.

idk if i ever said their school's name on any of the chapters lmaoo but i'm back i had bad writers block but i did miss gracelynn the gang
