-Paing Pov-

As I made my way back to my bedroom, the weight of what had just transpired with Yn pressed heavily on my mind.

I couldn't believe I had let myself get so caught up in the moment, allowing my feelings to nearly get the better of me.

I paused as I reached the door, bracing myself for the inevitable confrontation I knew was coming.

Sure enough, as I stepped inside, Karina was standing there, her arms crossed and her brow furrowed with displeasure.

Ka-Have fun, doing something our son told you not to do?

She spat, her tone dripping with disgust.

I sighed, closing the door behind me.

P-Karina, please, not tonight. We just got done arguing. You were the very reason I wasn't in here, in the first place.

Ka-Not tonight?

She scoffed, her eyes glaring in suspicion.

Ka-You know, Paing, I saw the way you were looking at that girl. Who knows what might have happened if I hadn't gone out there to check on you.

I felt my temper flare, its was hard to contain my anger.

P-Are you kidding me?!Get real, Karina. Nothing was going to happen!

Ka-Oh, really?!

She took a step closer, her gaze burning into me.

Ka-Because it sure as hell looked like something was about to happen.

-Paing Pov-

She shook her head, a bitter laugh escaping her lips.

Ka-Typical Paing, always thinking with your damn d¡€k!

P-That's enough!

I snapped, my patience finally reaching its limit.

P-I'm not going to stand here and listen to you accuse me of god knows what. I was simply being friendly, nothing more.

Karina's eyes narrowed to slits.

Ka-Friendly, my ass. I know you, Paing. I know how you are with young, impressionable women.

She took another step closer, her finger stabbing into my chest.

Ka-You stay the hell away from her, you hear me? Or Ill, tell our son. She's already been through enough without you adding to her troubles.

I had to fight the urge to roll my eyes.

P-Karina, please. Can we not do this right now? I'm exhausted, and I just want to go to bed.
