As the final bell rang, North Joestar stepped out of the school building, his eyes scanning the crowd for Amy. He had hoped to walk her home, but his heart sank when he saw South already by her side, chatting animatedly and making her laugh. With a sigh, North turned and walked in the opposite direction, his thoughts a mix of envy and resignation.

The streets of Corey Town were eerier than usual, the evening shadows lengthening in a way that seemed almost unnatural. As North walked, he heard a sudden, piercing scream. His instincts kicked in, and he sprinted towards the sound, his heart pounding in his chest.

Rounding a corner, he saw a masked man wrestling a purse from a young lady. Without hesitation, North shouted, "Stop! I don't want to have to hurt you!" The thief glanced at him but continued running. North sighed, "Good grief," and took off after him.

With a burst of speed, North caught up to the thief and delivered a powerful roundhouse kick, sending the man sprawling to the ground. North picked up the purse and returned it to the grateful young lady. But before he could call the police, the thief, with a desperate look in his eyes, stabbed North with an arrow tip.

"You better hope you survive," the thief hissed before fleeing.

North clutched his side, the pain searing but thankfully not fatal. He managed to call for help, and soon he was rushed to the hospital. As he lay in the emergency room, the local news team, Corey Town News, arrived, eager to interview the high school hero who had thwarted a robbery.

After recounting the event for the cameras, North was approached by the mayor of Corey Town. The mayor, a tall man with a commanding presence, congratulated North and announced that he would be awarded a medal for his bravery.

As North shook the mayor's hand, he noticed something that made his blood run cold. Standing beside the mayor was a creature, ethereal and menacing, with hollow eyes that seemed to bore into his soul. North's heart raced, but he kept his composure. When the mayor asked if he had seen anything unusual, North forced a smile and replied, "No, sir. Nothing at all."

The mayor's eyes narrowed slightly, but he said nothing more. North's mind was reeling as he left the hospital, the encounter leaving him with more questions than answers. When he arrived home, his mother and South were waiting, their faces etched with worry.

"I'm fine," North reassured them, though the pain from the arrow tip still throbbed. South, however, was relentless, pressing him for details about where he had been and what had happened.

"I said I'm fine," North insisted, not wanting to reveal the strange encounter with the mayor or the creature.

That night, sleep came fitfully. North was haunted by dreams of a voice calling his name, "North, North." He woke with a start, the pain in his side a harsh reminder of the day's events. As he lay there, trying to shake off the remnants of the dream, he heard South's triumphant yell from the bathroom.

"Beat ya, you loser!" South taunted, his voice echoing through the house.

North groaned and pulled the covers over his head, a wry smile tugging at his lips. Just another bizarre day in Corey Town, he thought, as he drifted back into a restless sleep.
