Chapter Nine: Setting the Stage

The morning bell rang, signaling the start of a new day. North had tasks to complete for the student council, while South was asleep in the library, dreaming about Amy. As North carried out his duties, his mind was preoccupied with figuring out more about Leo.

Leo, on the other hand, had joined the band club, and his music had quickly become the talk of the school. As South left the library, feeling that he could do more with his Stand, he decided to use Manifest.

"Manifest," South whispered, "bump me into the Stand user."

As if everything went according to his plan, South bumped into Leo in the hall.

"It's you!" South exclaimed.

Leo, looking shocked, replied, "Who the hell are you?"

"I'm South Joestar, just the hottest topic," South said with his trademark grin.

Leo tried to walk away, but South called out, "You're a Stand user. Are you a hero or a villain?"

Leo turned around and, with a stern look, said, "Shut up and meet me after school."

Meanwhile, North was thinking about how to observe Leo's Stand abilities. "Who can he fight so I can see his abilities?" North pondered. Then it hit him—South was the only other Stand user he knew besides the mayor, but the mayor was too intimidating. North decided he must set up a fight, unaware that South had already met Leo and arranged a showdown for after school.

### The Showdown

After school, North and South met up near the gym. South was excited, while North was tense, his mind racing with strategies.

"South, we need to be careful," North warned. "Leo's Stand, Limewire, can change sound outputs through his guitar. We don't know the extent of his abilities."

"Relax, North. I got this," South said confidently.

As they waited, Leo appeared, guitar slung over his shoulder. He looked at South and then at North, his eyes narrowing.

"So, you brought your brother," Leo said, strumming his guitar. "Let's get this over with."

"Manifest!" South shouted, and his Stand appeared, ready for battle.

"Ugh, that hurt," South groaned. "But I'm not done yet!"

South's Stand, Manifest, began to glow. "Manifest, amplify my speed!" South commanded.

Manifest responded, and South moved with incredible swiftness, dodging Leo's sound waves and closing the distance between them.

North observed every detail, noting how Leo's Stand transformed sound into physical force. He needed to understand how to counter it.

Leo, realizing South was getting too close, strummed a different chord. This time, the sound waves created a barrier around him, pushing South back again.

"You're good, but not good enough," Leo taunted.

North saw his chance. "Diablo, copy Limewire's abilities," he whispered.

Diablo's eyes glowed as it absorbed the knowledge of Leo's Stand. North now understood how to manipulate sound waves.

"South, now!" North shouted.

South, trusting his brother, used Manifest to increase his strength. He punched through the sound barrier, catching Leo off guard.

Leo stumbled back, his guitar emitting a screeching sound. "How did you—?"

"We're a team," South said, standing tall. "And together, we're unstoppable."

Leo, seeing the determination in their eyes, lowered his guitar. "Alright, you win this round. But don't think this is over. I'll be watching you."

As Leo walked away, North and South regrouped. "That was intense," South said, catching his breath.
