Every Indian middle-class boy has a childhood dream of visiting Goa before he dies. For Ajey, Bhuvan, and Ashish, this dream had remained unfulfilled for 21 years.

...

"Bhai log, marne se pehle ek baar bikini mei babes dekhni thi!!!" Ashish lamented, taking a swig from his fifth beer bottle. "Lagta hai mere naseeb mei sirf paros wale uncle ka kala pichwara hi dekhna likha hai."

Ajey, mid-sip, erupted in disgust, beer spraying out of his mouth. "Kya yaar, mood ki maa behen kar di!"

"Han, agar tujhe roz subeh wo kaali ghati ki gufaa dikhti, tab tujhe samajh aata!" Ashish jabbed Ajey with his beer bottle.

Bhuvan, who had been quietly sipping his beer, suddenly let out a disgruntled sound. "Ehhhh."

"Kya? Susu lagi hai jo dhaar maarne ki awaaz nikal raha hai?!" Ashish teased, turning towards him.

"Abe..." Bhuvan started laughing uncontrollably, the kind of laughter that made others nervous.

Ashish and Ajey exchanged worried glances. The drunken laughter seemed to have taken on a life of its own.

"Waise, Ashu ki baat mein dam to hai," Bhuvan said between fits of laughter. "Ham kya, ab teeno ke marne ke baad hi Goa jaayenge?"

"Fir chalo!" Ajey declared, standing up unsteadily. He lifted his beer bottle high. "Aaj hum shapat lete hain, iss mahine ham Goa jaake rahenge!"

"JAAKE RAHENGE!" Bhuvan and Ashish chorused, their voices filled with enthusiasm.

Ajey, with a sudden burst of energy, smashed his empty beer bottle on the ground. "Chalo, plan banate hain!"

...

The next day, as the sun rose, Ashish hurried to the kitchen, barely suppressing his excitement. "Yaar, mummy, college se project mila hai!.. 15 hazaar chahiye"

"15 hazaar?! College project?!" His mother exclaimed, brandishing a knife and half-cut eggplant. "Tu bahana marne se pehle soch to leta atleast!"
---

Ajey, standing at a safe distance, from his mother chimed in,"Are nahi mummy, sach bol raha hoon!"

Ajey's father, glancing up from his newspaper, grumbled "Aur ham dono tujh pe kaise yakeen kar le?"

"Ab kya, mai seeta maata ke jaise agni pariksha deke dikhau?" Ajey quipped, walking towards the living room.

---

Bhuvan's mother said while mopping the house"Tu 100 agni pariksha bhi de de, tab bhi na maanungi."

"But Ashu aur Ajey ke ghar wale maan gaye hain," Bhuvan interjected, hoping to convince his mother.

Bhuvan's mother eyed him skeptically, yet there was a hint of trust in her eyes. "Sacchi?!"

Bhuvan nodded eagerly. "Haan, mummy."

---

"Chal thik hai," Ajey's father relented. "Jab Bhuvan aur Ashish jaa hi rahe hain, to tu bhi ja sakta hai."

---

Ashish's mother, with a sigh of resignation, patted his head. "Par apna dhyan rakhna, aur project poora karke jaldi aa jaana."

...

The three friends convened for a conference call, excitement palpable in their voices.

Ashish started, "So guys...."

"GOA IS ON!!!" The trio exclaimed together, their joy echoing in unison.

At Mumbai's Lokmanya Tilak (Kurla) Station, the air buzzed with the usual hustle and bustle. The tea vendor, a middle-aged man with a warm smile, deftly served steaming cups of chai to a steady stream of customers. The clatter of cups and the sizzle of the stove provided a comforting backdrop to the station's clamor.
