The next day, the aftermath of the wedding still lingered in the air, but Park Jimin was already back at work. He sat in his office, drowning in paperwork, grateful for the distraction. His mind kept wandering back to the suffocating vows and the weight of the ring on his finger, a constant reminder of the life he didn’t want.

A soft knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.

“Come in,” Jimin called out, not bothering to look up.

“Still buried in work, I see,” a familiar voice teased.

Jimin glanced up to see Taehyung strolling into the room, a smirk on his face.

“Even the honeymoon phase can’t tear you away from this place, huh?” Taehyung teased.

“Honeymoon?” Jimin scoffed. “There is no honeymoon. I’m not that kind of man, and Hyuna knows that.”

Taehyung sighed, settling down in the chair opposite Jimin’s desk. “Well, that’s one way to start a marriage.”

Jimin leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temples. “You know I never wanted this. This whole thing is a business arrangement—nothing more.”

Taehyung studied him for a moment before speaking again. “You need a distraction. Come out with me for dinner tonight. There’s someone I want you to meet.”

Jimin raised an eyebrow. “Another business connection?”

Taehyung chuckled. “Not exactly. It’s my cousin—well, little sister, YN. She’s back in town after finishing her medical residency.”

Jimin’s interest piqued at the mention of Taehyung’s sister. He had heard bits and pieces about her over the years, but he had never met her in person. YN was well-known for being fiercely independent and ambitious, pursuing a career in surgery despite the family’s expectations for her to settle down.

“I figured you two could get along,” Taehyung continued, a mischievous smile tugging at his lips. “She’s not like Hyuna. YN knows how to hold her ground.”

Jimin smirked. “Sounds like she’d eat me alive.”

“Maybe,” Taehyung grinned. “But it’ll be fun to watch.”

Later that evening, Jimin found himself in an upscale restaurant, seated across from Taehyung as they waited for YN to arrive. The clinking of glasses and soft chatter filled the space, but Jimin remained distracted, his mind still burdened by the weight of his new marriage.

Just as Jimin took a sip of his drink, the door to the private room opened, and Taehyung’s expression brightened.

“There she is,” Taehyung announced.

Jimin looked up, and his breath hitched for a moment. Standing in the doorway was YN, Taehyung’s little sister. Dressed in a sleek black outfit, she exuded a confidence that made her seem both untouchable and magnetic at the same time. Her sharp eyes briefly scanned the room before landing on Jimin.

“Taehyung,” she greeted with a warm smile, stepping forward to hug her brother. Then, she turned to Jimin, her gaze steady and assessing. “You must be Park Jimin. I’ve heard a lot about you.”

Jimin rose to his feet, extending his hand. “All good things, I hope.”

YN chuckled, her handshake firm. “That depends on who’s telling the story.”

There was something about her that pulled Jimin in, something raw and unapologetic. She wasn’t like Hyuna, whose sweetness felt too perfect and too artificial. YN was real, her presence demanding respect without asking for it.

Throughout the dinner, Jimin found himself drawn to her sharp wit and no-nonsense attitude. While Taehyung bantered with both of them, it was clear that YN was a force in her own right—independent, intelligent, and completely unfazed by anyone’s expectations of her.

At one point, YN caught Jimin’s gaze and smirked. “You don’t say much, do you?”

Jimin blinked, caught off guard by her directness. “I speak when I have something worth saying.”

“Good,” YN replied, holding his gaze for a moment longer before turning back to her brother. “I can’t stand mindless chatter.”

As the night drew on, Jimin couldn’t shake the feeling that he had just crossed paths with someone who would change everything. YN wasn’t someone you could easily forget, and for the first time in a long time, Jimin felt a flicker of something—curiosity, intrigue... perhaps even desire.

But deep down, he knew this was dangerous territory. Taehyung’s sister wasn’t someone he should be thinking about. And yet, Jimin couldn’t stop himself.

As the dinner came to an end, YN stood up, giving Jimin a final glance before turning to Taehyung. “Thanks for inviting me. It was nice meeting you, Jimin.”

Jimin nodded, watching her walk away. As the door closed behind her, Taehyung leaned back in his chair, smirking.

“Careful,” Taehyung warned, his voice low. “She’s not like the others.”

Jimin smiled, but his mind was already racing. “I know.”

But even then, he couldn’t deny the pull. YN was different, and that was exactly what made her dangerous.
