Jimin stared at his reflection in the bathroom mirror, splashing cold water on his face. His mind was racing, the weight of the situation with Hyuna and YN pressing down on him. He had to make a decision soon. He couldn’t keep living in this state of emotional limbo.

After taking a deep breath, Jimin walked into the living room. Hyuna was sitting on the couch, scrolling through her phone. Her presence filled the room with an uncomfortable silence, and he knew he had to address the tension between them.

“Hyuna, we need to talk,” Jimin said, his voice steady but firm.

She looked up from her phone, raising an eyebrow. “About what?”

“Us,” Jimin replied, sitting across from her. “This marriage. It’s not working. We both know it.”

Hyuna let out a humorless laugh, crossing her arms. “So, you’re finally admitting it? What brought this on? Your new little friend YN?”

Jimin tensed, but he didn’t take the bait. “This has nothing to do with YN. It’s about us, Hyuna. We’ve been pretending for too long. We both deserve better than this.”

Hyuna’s eyes flashed with anger. “You’re seriously trying to act like this is some noble decision? Like you care about what’s best for both of us?”

Jimin clenched his jaw, keeping his emotions in check. “I do care. That’s why I’m saying this. We’re not happy, and we haven’t been for a long time. I think it’s time we face that.”

Hyuna stood up, pacing the room as she processed his words. “And what? You’re just going to leave? Walk away from everything we’ve built?”

“We didn’t build anything, Hyuna,” Jimin said quietly. “We’ve been living a lie. This marriage was never about love, and you know that.”

Hyuna stopped pacing, her back to him. For a moment, it seemed like she might agree, like the façade they’d been holding up would finally crack. But then she turned around, her expression cold and calculating.

“You’re not leaving me,” she said firmly. “Do you think you can just walk away from this marriage without consequences? What about your family? Your career? What do you think people will say when they find out you left me for another woman?”

Jimin’s heart sank, realizing that Hyuna wasn’t going to make this easy. She was right about one thing: the fallout from ending their marriage would be significant. His parents would be furious, and his image in the business world could take a hit. But could he really keep living like this just to avoid the backlash?
