Pissed off, I immediately ran after that delinquent.

Geez! What's wrong with him!? If he has any problem with me, he should say it upfront!

I mean, he technically did. But it was so indirect.

By the time I left the rooftop, he was already gone.

Did he teleport or something!?

What should I do? I won't be able to sleep tonight with his words lingering deep in my mind.

Think, Aina. Think! Predict where he'll head next. He mentioned home, but I knew that's not the full truth. He does arrive home before 5, but he goes to various places before that.

How do I know? Because I stal— No, I did not! I just followed him out of curiosity, okay!? That does not count as stalking.

Back to the topic, where would he go? Think deeply, Aina. Imagine yourself as Fukuda Haruki. Where would I go next?

If he's in a foul mood or got into a fight with someone, he'll go to peaceful places after class. And if he's bored, he'll head to...

At a nearby arcade

"I knew you'd be here, Fukuda-kun."

He clicked his tongue in annoyance and looked at me.

"Tch, you again?"

"Yes, me again."

"What do you want?"

"What do I want? Don't think you can just get away after humiliating me like that!"

"Humiliate? What do you mean? And even if you were humiliated as you claimed, it was only the two of us there."

"That's not the point! It was still a humiliation."

"Wounded ego, huh? Aight, whatever. Let's just settle that with this."

He pointed to the arcade cabinet.

"Huh? But I don't even know how these machines work."

"You claimed yourself as a genius, you should be able to do something as simple as this."

"When did I even do that?"

I took out a paper bill to exchange for tokens.

"But I can't back down with someone like you challenging me like this," I confidently stated.

"Don't get it wrong, idiot," he responded.

He took out some tokens from his pocket.

"You're the challenger here."

"Hmph!"

I then went to exchange my paper bill with tokens and returned immediately.

"You took so long. Anyhow, you ready?"

"Of course, I'm not. I don't even know what we will play."

"Tekken, surely you've heard of it?"

"I did, but I have no idea how to play the game. I don't even recognize a single character."

"Don't worry, I'll give you some newbie tips and I'll go easy on you~."

"That's not reassuring at all. You're underestimating me that way."

"See? You're just too prideful."

"Of course I am! I wouldn't mind losing to anyone, but not to you."
