"some other time" Yn mumbled lazily.

Hoseok nodded his head, suppressing the urge to know more.

"We're here" he chirped a little parking the car a little smooth.

They walked inside the café together, a calm atmosphere lingering between them.

Hoseok glanced at her from time to time as they took their seats.

After ordering two good cups of coffee and some light toast, Hoseok beamed comfortably

"So, how's Korea? I heard you came back after a long time. Made any new friends? Crushes? Got any gossip?" Hoseok asked, taking a sip of his coffee.

Yn chuckled. Despite his happy vibes, Hoseok was introverted around strangers and often awkward when starting conversations.

"Me? None," Yn replied, ending the question without asking anything in return.

A moment later, she looked at her phone and gushed. "How cute..."

Hoseok furrowed his brows. "What is cute?"

Yn passed her phone to him and his smile reached his eyes instantly.

Its a shih tzu running around in a garden with its fur dancing, the rays of sunset made its hair look golden.

Hoseok gushed a little and passed the phone back enjoying their toasts.

Yn ate her food little comfortable which didn't go unnoticed by hoseok.

Hoseok talked about lot of dogs with different breeds and shared funny experiences with yn realising this girl loves dogs.

Yn enjoyed thoroughly and commented in between, totaly forgetting about time.

Noticing the time, they stood up and left the cafè after paying the bill.

They didn't say much on their way back to the mansion.

As they entered the living room, the boys were sprawled across the couches.

When they saw their brother walk in, a few of them sat up, exchanging curious glances as Yn quietly headed to her room.

Leaving Rune and Miso behind, the Kim brothers made excuses and slipped upstairs to their rooms.

A few minutes later, the six boys quietly snuck toward Hoseok's room and pushed the door open with a thud.

Yoongi, Taehyung, and Jimin sprawled across the bed, while Jin and Jungkook settled onto the beanbags in the corner. Namjoon sat silently in a reading chair, which he had pulled closer to the group.

The room stayed eerily quiet until Hoseok returned, freshly showered and dressed in comfortable clothes. He froze at the sight of his brothers sitting there, quietly.

He blinked, unsure if they were really his siblings. It was rare for them to be this still, let alone without causing chaos.

"Look who's back," Yoongi muttered.

"How was your date with your stepsister?" Jimin mocked.

"You mean sibling date? It was good," Hoseok replied, squeezing into the small space left on the bed.

Two dramatic gasps filled the room, Jungkook and Jin, eyes wide, especially Jungkook, who looked like a fish out of water.

"You never took me on a sibling date, let alone bought me a coffee!" Jungkook complained, clearly offended.

"You've never taken me out without these kids tagging along," Jin added in the same tone.

"Alright, alright, knock it off... So, what did she say?" Taehyung asked, calm as ever.

"Nothing much. Honestly, you should all just act normal around her. She's a nice girl," Hoseok said sincerely.

"Just two hours with her and you're already on her side?" Jimin scoffed.

"I'm serious, Jimin. I get that her being here is throwing us off, but we can't do anything about it. And after what happened yesterday... we all know she's been through a lot. Not accepting her is one thing, but plotting behind her back isn't right," Hoseok said, casting a glance at Jimin and Jungkook, who avoided his gaze.

"Don't worry. She'll be leaving soon," he added softly.

Hoseok knew he couldn't force his brothers to accept her or feel comfortable around her. Their lives hadn't exactly been easy either.

"Leaving? Where to?" Taehyung asked.

"Back to her home," Hoseok answered with a small smile.

"Good for her," Jungkook mumbled under his breath.

"Alright, you younger ones, out. Hyungs, stay. We need to discuss the current deal," Hoseok said, shifting the conversation.

Yoongi flopped back onto the bed lazily, while the youngest three left with a huff.

Namjoon raised an eyebrow at Hoseok, who offered a small smile in return. There were still things he wanted to say, but not in front of the younger ones.

"She ate her food," Hoseok said.

"Was she comfortable?" Jin asked.

"Yeah. While eating, we talked about pet dogs and shared some funny stories. She had three whole toasts without looking nauseous! She seemed comfortable around me," Hoseok explained, a soft smile never leaving his face.

"I told you. She just doesn't eat food cooked in the house or when the Baes are around," Namjoon pointed out.

"She's a good person, Namjoon. She's just been caught up in this situation, just like us. We were wrong to think she'd be like her sister, Miso, who's always trying to get on our nerves," Hoseok said.

"So... are we accepting her?" Yoongi asked.

Silence fell over the room.

"No, acceptance doesn't just come from one side. We don't even greet each other properly," Namjoon pointed out.

Hoseok nodded in agreement.

Even if they decided to accept Yn as a stepsibling, would she accept them? Probably not. From what they'd seen, she preferred keeping her distance from everyone.

"It's better to keep her away from the maknaes, especially Jimin," Seokjin added suddenly.

The three of them agreed, understanding the situation.

"Whether we accept her or not... as long as she's here, we should keep her and the maknaes apart," Hoseok muttered.

The younger ones loved causing trouble, and if they started targeting her, it would only create more problems for the brothers.

From what the hyungs knew, Y/N wouldn't back down if provoked. Even if the hyungs tried to protect the maknaes, it was clear that she feared nothing.

Heyo!

I'm sorry you all! I was gone for a month!

I experienced tough phase of mid exams after a gap of just 1 sickening month.

I tired to update in middle but was completely struck to formate sentences, plots, scenes.

And soon my phone kissed the floor! It was so hectic! I felt like i had literal breakup without my phone TT

My baby (phone) came back a few days ago and i still had to complete my assignments.

After making my head go bald and completing the assignments I'm here.

Although the chapter is short and not much drama included i felt like updating short chapter is better than nothing.

I don't want to add anything and publish randomly ...so it was tough for me choosing words and plots.

Actually i thought of adding a bit drama to this chapter but i know it doesn't make sense and let the thought go.
