Windows

33 16 13

When I go to sleep
I always make sure
To close my windows

The curtains ruffle
From dusk to dawn
And

It can be rather creepy
At midnight

But when the windows
Are shut tight,
Fear escapes

Shortly before
The glass pane is
Latched up

So fear stays outside
Among the stray cats
And cruel night

Keeping me safe,
Until,
Morning Light
