When I go to sleep
I always make sure
To close my windowsThe curtains ruffle
From dusk to dawn
AndIt can be rather creepy
At midnightBut when the windows
Are shut tight,
Fear escapesShortly before
The glass pane is
Latched upSo fear stays outside
Among the stray cats
And cruel nightKeeping me safe,
Until,
Morning Light
