29 February it's my 16th birthday today. I woke up with a smile that happened on everyone's face when it's their birthday specially when it comes on a leap year.

We aren't rich but not poor as well we have our own beautiful house and a respected job.

If we can't afford something big, we don't lack of something, it's fine but my dream is definitely big, big enough to afford whatever I want. And everyone laughs on my dream.

"Hey, dear God, if you're listening to me I want to meet my soulmate today as my birthday gift from you", I prayed. 

I freshen up and left to have breakfast.

"Oh!! You came, sit", My step mother said I hate her or should I say she hates me. Same thing.

Don't pretend, Dad is not here, I said and sat on the table. and started eating my breakfast.

We are thinking about going on a vacation, your father talked about it, if you wanna come-

It's ok, I don't want to go on a family vacation with you. Besides I have exams next month, I replied and ask the maid about my father.

He has left for work already, she replied.

I thanked her and left for the school.

School was fun but they were focusing more on exams than of course a certain someone's birthday.

"Happy birthday darling!!!", My best friend shouted hitting me from back. I hate him.

So where's the party, he asked further.

"We will but it's better if you focus on exams more or you gonna fail for sure", I said hitting him back.

Hey, you don't have any single sole to celebrate your birthday with you except me, so bear with me, he said.

"First of all I don't need anyone to celebrate my birthday with, it's my birthday, I was born this day so I'll celebrate it no matter what" I replied.

Not celebrating the day you were born is so upsetting as if you hate being on earth so I think do celebrate your birthdays even if you're alone, celebrate your existence even if everyone hates it.

After school I finally went to home thinking about what to do on my birthday but still I was waiting my dad to wish me.

Even though he wasn't the first one to wish but it's fine.

Hey, dad!!! I said as I see him.

I was waiting for you to come, He replied and I smiled.

- "Can you tell me what is wrong??" He asked.
- "What do you mean" I asked.
- "fine, if you don't want to come with us but you can say it nicely too", he replied.
- "what did I say?" I asked looking at that woman.
- "I know you don't like her but it doesn't mean you insult her she just wanted to have a family outing including you what is wrong in that", he said.
- "can I first know what I said to insult her", I asked.

"Leave it darling", she said and I rolled my eyes. Best actress.

- "you said, she is here for money only and she can be with anyone for that, that she doesn't have any self respect and you won't go anywhere with a disgusting person like her"
- "I didn't say that, she is lying" I said with no expression.
- "Why?? Why you can't accept her, if you behave with her, we can be a nice family"
- "We can't be a nice family dad, cuz she is not my mom, I said.
- "And I said, I didn't say anything like that, do you trust me??" I asked.
