Eclipse are two people in the same Body. Setsuna is from a timeline where Cal dies but she was born in his Place.
In Setsuna's Timeline, Cal dies to strange circumstances and Xylo begins to fall into insanity. Due to Xylo's insanity, he takes the infant Setsuna to a hidden him in the forest. He raises her, still somehow keeping his Sanity until she turns 15. Xylo ends up listening to the voices in his head and kills himself leaving Setsuna to fend for herself.
She is able to protect his soul and bring him back much later in time. Before Xylo's Suicidal Attempt, she accidentally did something that will slowly kill her in time. This strange thing is what killed Cal in the Timeline as well. She ends up destroying her Timeline without mercy and begins to search through Timelines.
Setsuna shares a body with Cosima.
The reason they both fused into one body is because Setsuna was slowly dying and with Cosima fusing with her, it slowed down. They are know be the eyes and ears behind the scene especially since no one but Bloodmoon knows about them.
Their Goal is to Corrupt as many people and timelines as possible. Their next target is Xylo.
They also are trying to repair Xylo from Bloodmoon's Timeline because Cosima wanted to.
