Eclipse are two people in the same Body. Cosima was created by Bloodmoon using both his Soul Crystal and a cracked Soul Crystal from Xylo.
Cosima is considered to be childish and very curious. She was created to help stabilize Bloodmoon's Xylo in hopes of reviving him. Despite Cosima being extremely blindly loyal to E.Setsuna, she knows When it's too far. She also can get crazed if something excites her but it's usually easy to calm her down.
The reason they both fused into one body is because Setsuna was slowly dying and with Cosima fusing with her, it slowed down. They are know be the eyes and ears behind the scene especially since no one but Bloodmoon knows about them.
