As it turns out, the magic in the world he was in was more complicated than he thought. Though he still managed to figure it out even if it took forever. Magic isn't as easy as the power fantasy shows display it as, though incantations were generally unneeded as well...

He should probably stop using TV shows to help him understand magic.

"Young master is truly a genius," Aaron proclaimed as the male watched how Azar had managed to manifest flames from his magic circle. It had been around a month since the butler began to teach the noble, too long in Azar's eyes but a great accomplishment in Aaron's.

"I've only gotten this far because you've been teaching me so well Aaron!" Azar smiled while he tried to shape the flames, only to fail as the flames dissipated. "Ah, not again..." He sighed in disappointment, lowering the spell book that was in his left hand.

"Does the young master wish to continue?"

"Ah, no, it's fine, I think that was enough practice today. You should go on and meet up with my mother."

"As you wish, young master." Aaron bowed before leaving the room; he had been summoned by Azar's mother, as well as the rest of the maids and butlers for a special occasion. For what special occasion? He had no idea and if Akihiro taught him anything, it's that you don't want to know the specifics.

Azar sighed before putting the book back onto the table and exiting the library with the huge ass doors he could finally open. He was greeted with the sight of fancy designs from architects and the emptiness of the building.

The mansion was way too big just to be housing 2 people, excluding the people who worked there. While Akihiko didn't really feel as lonely as he should've, he still was pretty lonely. After all, he'd been living with his twin his whole life before he died.

He climbed down the stairs to the first floor, brushing his fingers against the intricate designs. Almost nothing has changed about the mansion since he first arrived here, a little depressing if you ask him but he liked the sense of familiarity.

His footsteps echoed through the room as he walked towards the front door. He had never really been outside, only seeing parts of it through windows. Since no one was here besides his brother, whom he hadn't even interacted with yet, he figured he'd take a look outside.

At first, he struggled to open the door —like what was the point of having a giant door, doesn't that just make it more expensive?— but after a few good pushes, he was finally able to open it.

The nice, but small breeze that entered the mansion was refreshing. The air was much cleaner than back in Japan and the sun wasn't scorching hot.

It's nice... Azar thought as he took a deep breath, the smell of flowers greeted him as he did. He looked outside the mansion, taking in all the sights, smells, and sounds. He probably wouldn't have another opportunity like this again, so he was going to cherish it.

He finally took one step outside of the mansion, and though it was just one step, things felt entirely different. He couldn't exactly describe it, but in the mansion, the air was a bit suffocating, to say the least.

Then he took another step.

And another.

And another...

And, you get the point.

Azar let a small smile appear on his face as he walked around. Marveling at the serene environment around himself as the leaves danced in the breeze. The mansion might have been in the middle of fucking nowhere, but the nature was still breathtaking.
