All of Travis's closest friends were seated at a fancy restaurant table in New York. Beside him, his trusted companion Taylor held a mojito in hand, laughing with her brother Jason. Travis looked at the blonde as if they were the only two people at the table. He felt a nudge on his arm and turned to see Patrick poking him.

"Keep looking at her like that, and everyone's going to notice," Mahomes whispered in his ear.

"Notice what, mate?"

"Don't play dumb, TK. The eyes never lie."

"Are you high, bro?"

"One day, you'll get it," Patrick winked at his friend, leaving Travis confused, though deep down, he knew exactly what he meant.

"Excuse me, everyone. I'll be right back." Taylor's sweet voice broke the moment as she stood up and headed towards the kitchen entrance. "Hi, I ordered a cake to be delivered here. Do you know anything about it?" she asked the manager, who smiled politely.

"Yes, of course. Taylor, right?" She nodded. "Would you like me to bring it to the table now?"

"I'll take it and light the candles myself. Could you please just bring plates and cutlery?" The man nodded and fetched the cake from the fridge. Taylor set it on a nearby table and positioned the candle. She signaled to Brittany, who had been watching her.

As Taylor approached the table, Jason and Brittany started singing "Happy Birthday."

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Travis, happy birthday to you," everyone sang in chorus as Taylor placed the cake in front of Travis, both of them grinning from ear to ear.

"Who gets the first slice?" Mahomes asked.

"To your favorite brother, right?" Jason chimed in.

"Sorry, bro, but this slice is already reserved for someone else. It goes to Taylor, who's been by my side all these years. The best friend a guy could ask for." Travis extended the plate to the blue-eyed singer, her eyes welling up with emotion.

"Oh, Trav..." She set the cake down and hugged him tightly. "Love you," she whispered in his ear, making him smile as he kissed her cheek.

"Alright, Jason, here's your slice now," Travis winked, handing the last piece to his brother, and the whole table laughed.

"You know, some people say the second piece is more important than the first," Jason said with a smirk.

"Trying to convince yourself, Kelce?" Taylor teased.

"Well, Swift, at least I was the first to wish him happy birthday," Jason shot back playfully, making Taylor roll her eyes with a laugh.

The rest of the cake was distributed, and the evening continued with lighthearted conversations and laughter.

The next morning, Taylor woke to sunlight streaming into her bedroom. She yawned and sat up in bed. Olivia, her cat, lay curled up on her leg, while the other two cats lounged on the armchair across the room.

"Good morning, princess. Such a sweet start to the day," Taylor murmured as she stroked Olivia's soft fur. The cat purred and stretched out her little paws, basking in the affection.

The blonde got up and headed to her closet to get ready for the day. Once she was dressed, she made her way to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Since it was her last day in New York, she and Travis planned to spend it exploring the city that was so familiar to Taylor. When she heard the doorbell ring, she already knew who it was.
