Something wrong with her body, a foreign sensation, or perhaps a lack of. She felt nothing. Perhaps that was a good thing. She didn't feel the dirt on her skin, nor did she feel the earthworms and the weight of the whole world. But she seemed to still feel everything. Every particle of air, every spec of dust. It was too much to for Sophia, she would rather be buried. No that was a lie. Every muscle in her body felt like it was screaming at her, waring signs flared. Sophia was extremely uncomfortable.

She felt her lungs inflating and a strange sensation in her chest. Something that resembled the beat of the drums. God did it hurt.

BANG BANG....BANG BANG

She wondered what the foreign sensation in her chest was then remembered that this strange movement was the feeling of a heart pumping her blood. She felt calm and peaceful. Perhaps she did finally die. The gods finally took pity on her.

Sometimes she could hear a voice. It was so solemn so angry. It hardly sounded full of joy when addressing her. Sometimes it heard it sob and other times it would laugh. It sounded so familiar yet so foreign to her.

There is another voice, a woman. She seemed to calm the sad one, she made him laugh. She figured that they were in love, and for some reason she felt pride. Yet some part of her wanted to punch the two of them, here they were being so in love while she couldn't move. The things that she could hear was despicable sometimes.

" She sleeps like she's dead." The man joked.

Iris looked at her mate with absolute horror and anger, slapping him on his arm knocking him back a few feet.

"OUCH! Was that too soon?" The man laughed. Iris couldn't help herself and joined in on his laughter. That was a dark joke, but she supposed that was his way of dealing with this whole situation, and if it did that she would allow it.

But that's when they heard it.

A little muffled laugh coming from the sleeping soldier in her bed. The two sped right next to her side and looked down at her.

"Oh my god, did you hear that?" Iris gasped.

"Sophia? Can you hear us?" The man whispered.

"No not really, can you let me go back to sleep now?" She said coarsely her voice cutting her throat like shards of glass. The male figure seemed to like that, giving a small chuckle in response.

"I think you have had a good sleep for now, Sophia. Can you open your eyes please?" The deep voice asked.

She tried to remember the sensation, any movement was foreign, she tried to remember it all, but she just couldn't.

"I..."

"Come on now my girl, you can do it, I know you can."

Finally she opened her eyes. It was so painful that she wanted to scream. It felt as though someone had sown her eyes shut and now she was ripping the threads off.

Fucking malaka

Darkness surrounded her. Not the same kind that that she was imprisoned in. Darkness that you can only find at night. Everything was blurred yet she could see two figures in front of her. One male and the other a female. finally she could put the faces to the solemn voice and the calm one. She begin to blink more and more trying to see more clearly.
