Chapter 4: You're not Cold Even Though Others Say you are.

Jakes POV

My eyes widened when I saw her, I completely forgot about the plan. Well it was awkward, we both looked away for a few seconds, I focused on Haileys face before Layla spoke up,

"So...I heard you got back together with Hailey.."

"Yea- Wait, got back together? We were never together before."

"You were obviously together in high-school." She said scoffing as if she didn't believe me, Hailey moved a little and whined a little in her sleep,

"Bed..." I looked at her and sighed,

"Look I gotta get her home-"

"Wait!" She said blocking my way, I got annoyed and she raked her hands through her hair and sighed,

"Look can we talk? We didn't get to talk properly after we broke up."

"Later, I promise. I just need to get her home." I say trying to pass through her but she kept blocking me, Hailey stirred a little in her sleep and whined again, she opened her eyes a little and was obviously still drunk, she looked up at me and whined,

"I wanna go to bed..."

"I know princess, give me a minute." I said and slightly put her head back in my neck and she fell completely asleep again,

"This is exactly why I thought you were dating in high-school!" She said a little louder,

"Shut up! And why?" I said trying to get her to quiet down so she didnt wake Hailey up,

"You would always call her princess! Youve never called me that." She said crossing her arms,

"I never called her that after we started dating her!" I said annoyed,

"Whatever. You better call me later. We are talking about the breakup." She said sighing loudly and walking inside with her arms still crossed, I roll my eyes slightly but realized we succeeded a goal today, we made her jealous. I smiled at Hailey,

"Good job princess." I say as I carry her to the car. I put her in the passenger seat and fastened her seatbelt, I sit in the drivers seat and start the car. I try and drive slowly but that makes it take awhile to get to her apartment, and traffic was terrible. Someone honked at me even though the light was red! And Hailey woke up cause of it! She sat up slightly obviously still drunk, she looked around and was obviously confused, she looked a little cute,

"Where am I...?"

"Welcome back to Jakes car!" I said in a happy and teased tone, it was obvious she was processing before slumping against the seat,

"I miss my bed."

"Im taking you there right now, be patient."

"Okaaaaaayy..." She says exaggerated and I laugh a little, she shoots me an angry look and I immediately stop laughing,

"Did you have fun?" She said stretching and grunting as she did,

"I guess, I need to talk to you tomorrow though about what happened before we left."

"Tell me now! Im right here!" She said whining, I tried keeping my laugh to myself and answered,

"You're already tired, let's wait until tomorrow okay?" I asked and she thought about it before nodding. I smiled a little and the light finally turned green, I started driving again and the guy behind me kept honking! Hailey would jump slightly each time he did and I would get annoyed, he was probably honking from how slow the car was but it was annoying! He finally took a different turn and it was quiet in the car now. I could tell she was sleepy and she quickly fell asleep after the honking stopped. I parked the car in the parking lot in front of the dorms and quickly try and get her inside.
