Chapter 5: Closer

Hailey's POV

My eyes widen when I see him come through the front door, and he seemed just as shocked to see me. He talked first in a weird tone,

"You're that cute girl from the party right? Jakes new girlfriend, right?"

"Haha...Yeah I'm his girlfriend..." I say uncomfortable, the words sounding weird coming out my mouth,

"You know, you're way too cute to just be with Jake. You're not talking to any other guys? We could start talking if you want..." He says looking at me weirdly, I wanted to kill myself in that moment,

"Haha...No I'm fine with Jake..." I say sounding awkward,

"Awh come on. Don't be so boring." He says in that weird tone. I wanted to leave immediately but how was I supposed to leave this situation?!

"It's fine really. I need to get back though." I say in a more stern tone now and try leaving, he stops me by blocking the door, you've got to be kidding me, I felt something wrap around my stomach and a weight on my back, I was caught-off guard and looked back, it was Jake. My stomach filled with butterflies again and I tried to not look flustered as it would look weird if someones boyfriend was hugging them and they were looking flustered, Jake spoke up obviously tired,

"Isaiah come on she said no." He said resting his head on my shoulder and yawning,

"Oh come on man, no way you're being so protective already. You just got together." Isaiah said scoffing, Jake hugged me a little tighter and I grunted a little from when he hugged my stomach tighter,

"I'm not being protective. If someone says no it means no Isaiah." He said sounding upset, Isaiah rolled his eyes,

"Whatever." and he walked off and scoffed. Jake kept hugging me for a few more seconds before letting me go,

"Sorry. He can be a jack-ass sometimes."

"I can tell..." I said putting on my shoes,

"I'll walk you back to your dorm." He says still seeming upset,

"You dont need to-" And before I know it he takes my hand and holds it, my heart beats again and I'm nervous again. He opens the front door and leads me out. Even in the elevator he was holding my hand. He held my hand the whole time and we finally reached my dorm,

"Thank you for walking me." I say, gently letting go of his hand,

"No problem. It's late, you should go to bed."

"I will, good night!"

"Night!" He says walking off. After he's out of sight I sigh from embarrassment, was he only holding my hand to make it seem like we were dating...? Whatever. I unlocked the door and saw Lia, Zoey, Milly, and Daisy!! I rush over and sit on the couch,

"Daisy!! What are you doing here?"

"Hey Hailey! Well I wanted to surprise you guys and decided to visit you guys this time! I felt bad since you guys are always visiting me."

"Awh Daisy you're too sweet for this world." Zoey said flopping against the couch,

"Ah Hailey! They told me everything about Jake. Are you sure you want to do this?" She asks a hint of concern and worry in her voice,
