Chapter 3: "New boyfriend"

I felt like an idiot with my friends behind me basically stalking me. They put on a whole "disguise" to try and blend in but they looked the opposite. They stood out more than anything! They were lurking behind me and looked like bodyguards,

"Guys... Can you maybe NOT HIDE BEHIND ME LIKE BODYGUARDS?" I say as I'm about to enter,

"Huh? Don't we blend in though?" Milly asked and I was about to scream but I held it together,

"No, you look like weirdos trying to stalk me," I say "Now split up!" They go in opposite directions inside the cafe and I open the door and enter inside, I see Jake waiting by a table on his phone waiting for me, I walk over to him a little nervous and he looks up at me with a smile,

"Alright, we have the rules on the contract right? We'll just follow those rules alright?" He said as he stood up,

"Alright..." I said eyeing Milly who was obviously looking like a weirdo but before Jake could notice I looked back at him, "Anything else...?"

"Oh yeah theres a party tonight, I'll text you the details later." He said looking at his phone, I nodded and I kept eyeing Milly, Lia, and Zoey, and I'm sure he started getting suspicious because he asked,

"What are you looking at..?" I was surprised and looked back at him,

"Oh...Nothing! I just uhh... The plant looks pretty?" I said pointing to the plant by the door, he looked at me like he didnt believe me but he just let it go,

"Alright, well see you later?" He asks,

"Mhm." I say nodding, he left first and Milly, Lia, and Zoey came out of the- wherever they were,

"Okay what'd he say!!??" Milly asks jumping,

"He just talked about a party tonight." I said,

"Oh which one? Im going to one tonight." Zoey said,

"I'm not sure. He didnt text me the details yet—" I then got a notification on my phone from him,

"It's Isaiah's party."

"Oh youve got to be kidding me, thats the one I'm going to and hes such a creep! Make sure you stay far away from him babes. Stay with me for majority of the night alright?" Zoey said with a warning tone, I nodded and was a little worried, Zoey sighed and she took out her phone to check the time,

"Class is about to start soon, anyone gonna skip today? I dont wanna go." She asks the 4 of us, me and Lia shake our heads but Milly was all in for the idea,

"Yes please! I am not going to class today. So boring."

"Alright perfect, lets skip in my dorm." Zoey said, she and Milly were about to leave and they waved us goodbye, me and Lia were alone and she spoke up,

"Hailey make sure to be careful around Jake? I know Zoey and I already warned you but I'm being serious. Hes not the same as he was when you guys had the music club in junior year. He changed a lot after dating Layla and hanging out with his new friend group."

"Alright. I'll be careful, thanks Lia." I said smiling at her, we both walked out of the cafe and walked to class, we sat down next to each other and waited for the class to start, in the meantime Lia started talking,

"Sooo are you excited for the party?"

"I guess, I mean I've been to a couple with Milly and they're usually pretty boring..."

"Well Isaiah's parties are never boring I promise. He's a creep but he does know how to make a party fun. Be careful if you even drink water though, he's always spiking girls drinks." Lia warns me,
