You were supposed to be there
Young was not meant to do this alone
Yet I was forced to
Yes I cried
You never seemed to care fully though
Yesterdays diagnosis and discussion meant nothing
You blindly ignored it
Yet I still feel bad for you
Young I was
Your heart could not handle the truth it was death
Yes I still dealt with what you couldn't
Your words and actions making it all worse
Yet you were supposed to be my support

You weren't there
Yet I learned to manage without you
Yearly letters you send now hoping to rekindle the flame you blew out

22.
My big brother
A brave soul
That yet seemed so tired all the days long
Hours of card games in bed
Cozy blankets with hot cocoa
The times I thought nothing of till the day it moved rooms
It was not cozy
The lights were always on
Loud noises and more people here every moment
Cards become movies
Although I noticed you doze off the day still seemed long
Soon I was not the only to cry for you
I will always say
My big brother
So brave of a hero
