"For me?" You stared at the pink bag filled with chocolates, laced with a white ribbon that kept it closed. Sasuke nodded, still holding it out to you. "Are you going to take it, or not?"

You cautiously reached out to grab it. "Why are you giving this to me?" You tugged at the bow, watching the baggy open up. "You were angry yesterday, it was annoying." Your lip curled down as you rolled your eyes. "Wow, sorry my emotions are such an inconvenience to you."

Sasuke let out a sigh. "Knowing you're angry at me, that's what's annoying." His pitch-black eyes shifted to stare into yours. You quickly broke eye contact to shuffle through the candy with your fingers. "That's.. sweet. But, I think you should be apologizing to Naruto and Sakura. Not giving me stuff."

He moved his weight onto one leg and began leaning back against the railing of the bridge you two stood on. "I already did. You think I'd depend on chocolates alone to gain your forgiveness." He whispered the last part. "Sasuke," You smiled, "You're so sweet!"

You peeled the wrapper off a chocolate ball. "That reminds me, what were you doing on that tree yesterday?" You curiously stared up at him as you nibbled on the candy.

Sasuke gulped. "Nothing you need to know." He said plainly, but he knew you wouldn't drop the topic so easily. "What? Come on, tell me!" You began tugging on his sleeve as you whined. Just as he expected. "Let go!" Sasuke frowned while placing both his hands on your arm, in an attempt to pry you off.

"Tell me! I'm your best friend, right? What are you scared of!"

His eye twitched. "I'm not scared," he spoke through gritted teeth. Of course, this was a lie. He couldn't tell you he followed you after you parted ways. He couldn't tell anyone. It was embarrassing, creepy even.

"Y/n, Sasuke!" Sakura ran towards you two. You removed yourself from Sasuke and instead offered her a smile as she reached you. "Good morning, Haruno." You waved.

Without warning she brought you into a tight hug. Somehow, Sakura unleashes some sort of newfound strength with unimportant tasks. Like punching Naruto for example.. how does she manage to send him flying??

"I'm so glad to see you!" She happily pulled away from you. She then turned to Sasuke, with a blush. "M-Morning, Sasuke!"

The Uchiha boy nodded towards her, not uttering a word. Which you shook your head at, but a response like this was expected from him. "Would you like chocolate?" You held out the half-eaten ball you'd been working on.

"That exact one?" Her heart throbbed against her chest as she looked at the remaining of your treat. But she slumped down when you tossed the rest into your mouth. "Of course not! That'd be cruel, grab your own!"

"Uh— No thanks, I have to watch my figure." She sighed. You quirked a brow at her but shrugged.

"Aghh! Why, why, why! It's always the same! He sets the time and then we have to wait hours for him!" Sakura shouted.

It's true. You four had been waiting nearly three hours for Kakashi's arrival. You sat up on the railing, with your feet swaying below you. "Next time, I'm taking my sweet time coming here." You announced, "I'm sleeping an extra hour."

Sakura nodded her head rapidly. "Me too! I rushed here so fast I didn't even have time to blow dry my hair!" Now that she mentioned it, her hair did seem a bit wonky.

"And I didn't even have enough time to brush my teeth or change my underwear!"

"Yea!- Wait.. what?" You slowly turned to look at Naruto, with a look of disgust. Sakura dropped her fist from above her head, shifting uncomfortably. "You... didn't? That's really disgusting, Naruto.."

'First thing in the morning, and they're already driving me nuts. They're lucky Y/n's here, otherwise, I'd tell them to shut up.'

As if on cue, Kakashi appeared before Sasuke lost his mind, thankfully. "Hey, good morning everyone!" He greeted, with his hand raised. "Sorry I'm late, afraid I got lost on the path of life."

"You liar!" Sakura and Naruto shouted. The four of you lined up together, politely standing before your sensei.

"I know this is a bit sudden, but I recommend you for the chunin exams," Kakashi admitted. He dug into his pockets, taking out four brown papers and handing them to you. "These are the application forms."

You accepted it from his fingers, before skimming it. "Application forms?" Sakura restated, "You're repeating me, Sakura." Kakashi taunted light-heartedly. "This is all voluntary for each of you, if you don't feel ready, you can wait until next year."

"All right!" Naruto shouted happily, he ran towards Kakashi and jumped onto him. Forcing him into a hug. The two spun in a circle, "You're the best, sensei!"

"Don't slobber on my vest..!" Kakashi scolded, forcing him down. "Whoever wants to take the exams, sign the application and come to room 301 at the academy. It's at three pm, five days from now. You're dismissed."

Per usual, he poofed away instantaneously.

"All that wait for this?" You groaned, "Was it even worth it." You placed the small paper into your pouch. "Of course, it was worth it! Chunin exams! Chunin exams!" Naruto chanted to himself, it seemed like he was in heaven.

"What's the matter Y/n?" Sakura asked, her lips tugging downwards slightly, "you don't seem too happy about this." Your arms crossed over your chest, and you nibbled on your bottom lip. "I don't know.. I guess I'm just nervous about going up against other people... I'm happy for everyone else though!"

"Are you not going to participate?" She gasped, with wide eyes, "No way! You'd totally beat at least half the people there! You're so strong!"

"I'll have to think about it.."
