"Did we lose 'em?" Tamila says looking back.
Jace looks back. "Yeah I think so."
Tamila sighs and looks up at the sky. "It's a full moon."
I look up at the moon, "oh yeah" I say, "Wow, it's bright!"
"Good!"
We all look at Maggie.
"The brighter the better!" she says, "let's go!" she turns and walks off.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
She looks back at me. "Well isn't it obvious?"
I give her a confused look. So does everyone else.
"The Moonlight Lake!" Maggie says.
"The what?" I ask.
She groans. "Haven't you heard of the Moonlight Lake?!"
"No"
"They say that when the moon reflects in the water, it can cure anything just by touching it" Maggie says pointing to the moon. "But it hast to be a full moon for it to work!" she looks at me. "It can cure your curse!"
I perk up in interest. "It can?"
"Yeah! So let's go! We only have 'til midnight!"
"Tami what's the time?" Jace asks Tamila.
"Eleven o' one" Tamila replies without checking anything.
Tamila has the power to tell the time where ever and whenever without even checking a clock. I'm not sure if it's an actual power or she's just really good with time. She never really showed any signs of any other power though, so I kinda went with the time power.
"Right! Let's go!" Maggie says before running off.
"Maggie, wait!" Aya calls.
"We don't have time to wait!" Maggie calls back.
"Something's wrong!" Aya says
"Yeah something's wrong!" Maggie calls, "you're all being slow! Let's go!"
"No it's not that!" Aya shakes her head, "I feel like something's here. Something evil."
"What do you mean?" Crystal asks.
Tamila looks to the sky and gasps. "Look!" she points up.
We all look up. Dark clouds are moving in, slowly lacking out the sky.
"No!" Maggie cries.
A laugh comes from the forest. We all whip around. Tiffany walks over to us with an evil smirk on her face.
"Tiffany!" Maggie yells.
"Ha! I knew your plan Maggie!" Tiffany says, "and I'm sorry to say this, but it's just not gonna work! Not on my watch."
"I thought we were friends, Tiffany!" Crystal cries, trying to get Tiffany to realize what she is doing and stop.
Tiffany grunts, "Right."
"Tiffany, this needs to stop!" I say.
She looks at me. "Why?" she asks. I scowl at her and let out a small growl. She smirks at me. "Oh!" she teases, "you want to fight?"
"No!" Aya cries, "We don't want anyone getting hurt!"
"Well Carter?" Tiffany says, "You going to listen to your little friend?" I ignore her and stand my ground. Tiffany grunts, "Well then I guess you want to die," she looks me in the eye, "I'd hate to do this."
