I wake up on my top bunk in the boys' cabin back at camp. My vision is fuzzy and I have a slight headache. I sit up and rub my head.
"Whoa, I had the craziest dream last night." I hear Sage say.
"Yeah, me too." Jace says, "There were monsters, and Tiffany went evil and cursed Carter to become a monster"
Jace, I swear, you have the most ridiculous drea- wait. My eyes go wide and I jump off my bed and run to the bathroom. I look in the mirror and sigh in relief. The magic lake worked. I'm not a monster any more. "Thank goodness" I say to myself.
"Everyone," I hear a kid call from outside, "Come outside! Hurry!"
I walk out of the bathroom and look out the window. Jace runs outside. Sage and I quickly follow behind him not waiting for the rest of the cabin to join us.
Outside all the campers are crowding around the flagpole murmuring to each other. The three of us walk over, all slightly curious.
"What's going on?" Crystal asks as she walks over to the group with Tiffany.
Maggie walks over to me. She looks ahead with a small smile on her face.
"What?" I ask.
She puts a finger to her lips. "Shh."
I grunt and look forward. CD walk up to the front and faces the crowd.
"Attention campers," He calls, shushing the crowd. "I have some great news for you!"
Everyone looks at him with interest.
"Last night something extraordinary happened!" CD continues, "We finally found Alice!"
A few campers gasp and they all cheer with joy. I felt a huge grin form on my face. Maggie looked at me and giggled.
"We found her asleep in the forest and brought her back to the infirmary." CD says, "I'm sure she'll be up and active really soon! So to celebrate her find we're having an all camp bonfire extravaganza!"
The crowd cheers louder and people shoot magic fireworks in the air.

"C'mon." Aya says, waiting by the door of the infirmary. She has a warm smile on her face.
Maggie lightly elbows me. I look at her. She smiles at me. I smile. Maggie looks back at the infirmary. "Alice!"
I look to Alice, as Aya helps her walk, and smile at her.
Alice smiles, tiredly. "Hey." She says.
"You feeling better?" I ask.
Alice nods. "Yeah," she says. She looks away. "Thanks for saving me."
"Hey," I say, "what are friends for?"
She looks up at me. I smile at her. She hesitates a bit before walking over and hugging me. I'm a bit surprised by this at first but I then hug her back.
"So..." Jace says, killing the moment, "I'm gonna assume that all of what happened wasn't a dream."
Alice stops hugging me and stands next to Aya.
Crystal punched Jace's arm. "Of course it wasn't idiot."
I roll my eyes and look at Tiffany. She's looking at her hands with a look of slight distress. The tips of her fingers glow lavender, the same color as her bow. "I don't remember what happened exactly," she says quietly, "but I feel as I caused it..." A small red and black lightning bolt sparks on her fingers, but I's hardly noticeable.
"Well..." Sage says, "You kinda did."
Sage elbows him in the ribs and glares at him.
Tiffany stays quiet and refuses to look at anyone.
I sigh and walk over to Tiffany and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey," I say, she looks up at me. "Don't worry 'bout it. It's all better now." I give her a small smile.
She grunts and looks away smiling. "Carter, your way too easygoing on people." She says.
I shrug and laugh.
"Alright," Maggie chimes in, "who wants lunch?!"
We all cheer in agreement and all walk to the mess hall together.
Yeah, this summer is going to be something special.
