"Woah, what was that for?"

Macy is ecstatic that she gets to play.

We skate onto the ice. Iceland has an early lead, they are physically dominating. Bombay sends Russ out but Iceland has three people on him at all times.

I get the puck, Macy is open I pass to her. She gets the puck shoots and... Alex flips her into the boards. She goes flying. I skate over as fast as I  can.  "Roccas you okay?" I help her up.

"Get off me I'm fine." She skates away, she gets a little mean when she plays. We are playing hard but Iceland is bigger and faster. Iceland leads 4-0.

Kenny gets put on, he splits the d. Fulton passes up to Kenny he shoots... he scores! The goalie is mad. Ken starts a fight with him and gets sent to the box. Fulton and Portman are going crazy. "Come on let's play hockey!" Bombay is upset.

Fulton and Portman get misconduct penalties. The three 'bash brothers' are still going crazy.

"Connie, be careful out there. They're gunning for you." Charlie pats her back.

"Don't worry. I'll be fine." Connie skates out. The puck is at one end she goes to get it out. A huge Iceland player is coming at her hard...

"Yee-haw!" Dwayne grabs his rope and hops on the ice.

"No, Dwayne!" Bombay tries to stop him.

"i'm comin', Connie." He ropes the Iceland player, which stops him from hitting Connie.
"Where i come from, we treat ladies with respect."

"Thank you, Dwayne, but i'm no lady; i'm a Duck!" Connie pushes him. "Come on!" She skates away. It's the end of the second period, Iceland leads with 4-1. We skate into the locker room we all sit down.

"Did you all enjoy that?" Bombay walks in with Ms MacKay.

"Yeah!" The team cheers.

"So did they, because they're still three points up and we're one period away from defeat." Bombay looks down.

"if we can't beat them, we might as well keep our pride." Jesse speaks up.

"Yeah." Fulton agrees.

"Jesse, that's not pride. Sure, when Dwayne roped that big oaf, part of me cheered. But, guys, i've been there. i know how you feel. i wanted to cream that jerk that busted my knee when i played in the minors. And i really, really wanted to go after Stansson for that cheap shot. But you know what? My knee will heal. And if i become
someone i'm not... if i sink to their level... well, then, i lost more than my knee. You understand?" Bombay is right.

"Yeah." Everyone agrees.

"We're not goons. We're not bullies. No matter
what people say or do... we have to be ourselves. You. Who are you?" Bombay points.

"Dean Portman."

"From where?"

"Chicago, illinois."

"You." He points at me.

"Guy Germaine. From St. Paul, Minnesota."

"You."

"Jesse Hall from Minneapolis, Minnesota."

"Who are you?"

"Julie Gaffney from Bangor, Maine." She smiles.
