"NOT EVEN I DREAMED YOU would have the nerve to use this old place as your hideout—""Severus, you're making a mistake." Said lupin urgently. "You haven't heard everything - I can explain - Sirius is not here to kill Harry-"
"Two more for Azkaban tonight," snarled Snape. His eyes now gleaming frantically, barely noticing Cora."You fool." Lupin said softly. "Is a schoolboy grudge worth putting an innocent man back inside Azkaban?" Sirius attempted to take a step forward, but before he could land his foot Severus pointed his wand right in between his eyes.
"You. Elvira wasn't enough to manipulate — and now you're here to convince the child she's out of her mind." He spits with terror. Oh so now I'm a child?
"You know nothing!-"
"Give me a reason," he whispered. "Give me a reason to do it, and I swear I will."
Harry stood there paralysed, not knowing what to do or who to believe. He glanced around at Ron, Hermione and Cora.
Ron looked just as confused as he did. Cora looked overwhelmed, knowing her, she just wanted to go to her bed and read."Why don't we just kiss and make up, huh?" She suggests. No one laughed. Only certain scowls from a few.
Hermione, however, took an uncertain step towards Snape and said, in a very breathless voice, "Professor Snape — it wouldn't hurt to hear what they've got to say, would it?"
"Miss Granger, you are already facing suspension from this school!" He snapped. "Don't make it worse than it already is," Severus kept his wand to the alleged murderer. "Oh how vengeance is sweet.."
"Run along and play with your chemistry set, you expired hag," Sirius insisted.
"I could do it, you know. But why deny the dementors? They're so longing to see you."
You could say the next thing is considered as betrayal but in her defence, she at least gave it a second thought.
" Expelliarmus!" Cora yelled. She wasn't the only one shocked. Her blood was pumping unnecessarily and her face was hot.
When the blast hit, Severus was lifted off his feet and slammed into the 4 poster bed. He had been severely knocked out.
"You shouldn't have done that," urged Sirius, looking at Cora. "You should have left him to me..." Cora avoided her father's eyes, still contemplating the risk she took.
"We attacked a teacher...we attacked a teacher...," Hermione whimpered. This made Cora snap back to reality.
"No, I attacked a teacher and it was necessary. He won't remember this. At least, he shouldn't." Cora attempts to comfort the younger girl.
"Oh we're going to be in so much trouble.."
"Tell us about Peter Pettigrew!" Harry bellowed. From what Cora could see, Harry had also got ahold of his wand.
"He was at school with us! We thought he was our friend." Lupin urged the boy.
"No! You're wrong. Pettigrews dead. You killed him!" he points towards Sirius. Lupin walks over.
"No he didn't. I thought so too until you mentioned Pettigrew on the map."
"Did you get my map confiscated Harry?" Cora exasperates.
"-the map was lying, then," Harry replies.
Sirius out of nowhere exclaims "The map never lies! Pettigrews alive and he's right there." the man points to Ron. The poor boy scrunches his face "Me?! He's mental!"
