Dabira
As the Ayodele family walked into the venue, all eyes were on Dabira. She felt out of place, like she didn't belong, like an uninvited guest .
''Hey Dabira, don't mind those people that are staring at you, okay. They are probably just surprised by how beautiful you are. This is how they usually act here, everyone feels threatened , so when they see someone doing or looking better than they are, they want to get to know the person''Shubomi explained.
''They don't know that I am an Ayodele''
''Of course they don't know. Who would tell them , how would they know that the Ayodele's have a daughter . I don't blame them , I kind of blame you for not putting yourself out there, for others to see the background you are coming from'' ''But that is not me" '' Dabira, in life there are no buts . It is either you act when given the opportunity ,or forever be sidelined'' Dabira nodded.
'' Hey Xavier Oluwashubomi Ayodele '' A feminine voice called Shubomi. Shubomi turned toward the voice almost immediately. ''Oh my goodness, Athena Shola Adedire , long time no see'' Shubomi said . ''Who is this beautiful lady here'' Shola said, as she stretched her hands towards Dabira for a handshake. Dabira hesitated in returning the handshake, seeing as Shola had just destroyed her conversation with Shubomi, before finally returning the handshake.
''Dabira meet Shola, Shola meet Dabira'' Shubomi introduced. '' Hi darling, where have you been all my life , you have got to introduce me to whoever did your hair and makeup ,cause it's fire . Girl you look so good'' Shola complimented Dabira. '' I could and would have introduced you to the person, if only he would speak to me'' '' Don't worry darling , when you guys start talking again, notify me so I'll book an appointment with him'' Dabira nodded.
'' So how do you and my brother know each other '' Dabira asked. '' Well we are VERY VERY close friends'' Shola said ,laying emphasis on the VERY. '' If you and my brother were dating, why don't you just say that . I'm not a child'' She thought. ''Wait did you just say Shubomi here is your brother'' ''Yes she is , baby sister actually '' Shubomi explained. ''WOW, I never knew you had a sister, I only knew Sijibomi was your brother, since you and him were always together and stuff like that. Speaking of which , where is he'' She asked. '' Probably around mingling '' Shubomi said . '' Okay, let's go find him ,and maybe catch up while we are at it'' Shola said as she looped arms with Shubomi . '' Hey Dabira, can you wait for a second . I and Shola are going to find Sijibomi if you don't mind'' ''Sure" ''Thanks okay, If you need anything, just ask for it , enjoy and also love your outfit . Did I tell you, that you looked beautiful. Well you do"
