Tara Smith has always dreaded every single day ever since she had begun high school four years ago. It was a daily thing for her. Tara would wake up, get ready for school, go to school, get taunted, count down the seconds until school was over and go home to more bullying on her social media.

But now she was a senior, Tara looked forward to this being her last year of hell before she would graduate and block out all those terrible memories of high school. Tara also decided not to check her Facebook and X pages as much as she had in the past. Tara knew she'd see her peers who made her high school life hell and that was only thing that still bothered her.

"Honey, you are going to be late for school!" Amy called out from downstairs.

"I'm almost done!" Tara called back out as she looked at her bedroom door and then back at the mirror in her bedroom. "First day back into hell." Tara murmured as she looked at herself in the mirror and she quickly saw her long, raven black hair in a mess as she stared at her light tan skin. Tara only had her parents, Amy and Derek, her older sister, Lauren, who was now in her first year in college and her best friend, Kelly Walker as her support system, which made Tara feel better about life and high school. But to some degree, she wished she was part of the popular crowd. There was Serena Taylor, Caroline Perry and Vicky Fox. Those were the most popular girls in Bevery Hills High. Tara wanted to belong in school, feel less alone. But she missed Serena, Vicky and Caroline.

Back in kindergarten, Tara met Serena and Caroline, and they became an instant trio. They had playdates, sleepovers. They barely ever went a day or two without seeing one another. When they went to middle school, Vicky moved into town and quickly, the trio became a foursome.

But when they were all in high school in freshman year at Bevery Hills High, Serena, Caroline and Vicky fell into the pressures in the popular crowd and Tara hadn't. After a month of high school, the tight foursome became a trio, and Tara became an outcast ever since.

"I just need to lay low this year." Tara mumbled as she gave herself a quick nod, prep talking to herself. This year will be different. Tara thought to herself as she blinked her bright blue eyes to herself. It has to be.
