"Marcus!" Tara called out as she ran after him in the school hallway.

"Hey." Marcus simply said as he turned around and stopped walking, looking at her.

"Can we talk?" Tara asked as she looked up at him, frowning at him.

"Yeah," Marcus sighed. "But the bell rang, I thought you already--"

"I almost did but I had to talk to you." Tara said, interrupting him in the process.

"Well, what is it?" Marcus asked and furrowed his eyebrows.

"I heard about your party coming up," Tara answered. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I forgot about it." Marcus replied, giving a lazy shrug.

"How do you forget your own party?" Tara gawked as her eyes widened.

"Look, I think you shouldn't go." Marcus responded and frowned.

"Of course... you liking me was a trick." Tara sighed and she looked away, shaking her head.

"That is not true." Marcs retorted.

"Then why can't I go?" Tara asked in annoyance.

"You wouldn't have fun, trust me." Marcus insisted.

"And you would?" Tara snorted, crossing her arms and raised an eyebrow.

"I don't see why you would want to go." Marcus snorted.

"I want to have fun and feel like a normal teen." Tara replied,

"It's not your scene, okay?"

"How would you know anyways?"

"How did you hear about it?" Marcus asked and raised an eyebrow.

"Vicky and the other girls told me," Tara answered smugly, dropping her arms to her sides. "I got invited and I am going."

"Even if I tell you that you shouldn't go?" Marcus asked, gawking.

"Yep." Tara answered, popping the p.

"Tara, please--"Marcus began to say.

"I'm going!" Tara cheerly said, interrupting him again as she turned around and walked away.
