"Is this really happening?" Tara whispered to herself nervously as she stared at herself in the mirror in her bedroom, curling her long raven black hair.

"I'm coming in!" Ay called out as she opened Tara's bedroom door and shut it behind her.

"Where is dad?" Tara asked as she looked at her mom.

"He went to the office early." Amy answered, watching Tara get ready.

"I see," Tara mumbled softly. "Sleep well, mom?" Tara asked, giving a warm smile.

"I did, thanks," Amy answered and sighed as she leaned against Tara's bedroom door as she crossed her arms together, still watching her. "Did you sleep well, kiddo?" Amy asked, giving a weak smile.

"Yes, I did." Tara answered as she grabbed her makeup bag.

"You really are excited for this date tonight, huh?" Amy asked, trying to hide how worried she was about the idea of her youngest and naive daughter dating one of the most popular guys in Beverly Hills High who also bullied her since freshman year.

"Yeah, I am... actually." Tara answered as she applied foundation first on her light tan skin face.

"Your father and I are very concerned about Marcus." Amy said as she frowned.

"Mom, he apologized to me." Tara sighed as she continued to put her makeup on.

"I understand this," Amy responded, frowning at her as she dropped her arms to her side and walked towards Tara. "Something tells us that you should not trust this boy."

"He seemed sincere, really sorry." Tara insisted as she thought about what Kelly said.

Monday, he throws milk at you, yesterday he dumps Vicky and today he asks you out. Kelly's words echoed in Tara's mind as she stared at herself in the mirror, still holding her foundation sponge. To me, it is weird, and you need to be more mindful. Kelly's words continued to echo in her mind.

"Well, what about Vicky Fox?" Amy asked.

"They are not together, they broke up."

"So, is he on the rebound?"

"No," Tara gasped as her eyes widened. "He is not on the rebound."

"You deserve someone who will never ever make you feel less than," Amy replied, giving a weak smile.

"I don't want you to worry, mother." Tara murmured softly, looking at her mother in the mirror.

"Well, even your sister is concerned about your wellbeing." Amy said, slowly nodding.

"You have been talking to Lauren?" Tara gawked as she rolled her eyes.

"We spoke last night after you fell asleep, we all want what is best for you."

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Tara asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You have school today; it was late anyways." Amy giggled, pointing at Tara.

Monday, he throws milk at you, yesterday he dumps Vicky and today he asks you out. Kelly's words echoed once again in Tara's mind as she stared at herself in the mirror, still holding her foundation sponge. To me, it is weird, and you need to be more mindful. Kelly's words continued to echo in her mind.

"Lauren is in college now, she has school too." Tara pointed out and giggled softly.

"Well, I just miss her since she moved to New York," Amy sighed in defeat. "But touché." Amy giggled softly.
