Reich continued to walk barefoot, but the stones were no problem for him.
Seeing everything in the light of the sun made him feel much more comfortable and warmer.
His path was so much easier for him.
Everything was full of life! The colors were much more vibrant everywhere. The flowers were colorful and grew everywhere. The green leaves of the trees and the grass seemed to glow.
The birds chirped their songs. Bumblebees and bees flew over the grass, which is why the Countryhuman paid close attention to his path.
He felt so good that by walking in an unusual way, without anything separating him from the ground, he could feel the energy of the earth flowing into his body through his feet.
He felt so good! And all this positive energy accompanied him on his way to his friends and those who needed him.
Third German Reich also hummed a few beautiful songs while he moved to the beat. He didn't just like drawing, but also music!
When he arrived at the edge of the forest, he also discovered a few mushrooms that he knew were not only edible, but also tasted really good when fried with salt and pepper.
He didn't think twice, left the path and climbed over branches and small plants before he arrived.
They were brown mushrooms with dark brown waves on their caps, which reminded him of an umbrella. These mushrooms were very large, their umbrellas were the diameter of his hands.
He carefully broke the stem off the mushroom in front of him and looked at its underside. It had countless grooves that led from the inside to the outside. The mushroom also had a ring on its stem that could be moved, which Reich tried out, as this would confirm that this was the right one and yes, the ring could be moved easily and was not firmly attached.
The Countryhuman smiled broadly and took as many of the most beautiful mushrooms as he could carry, which apparently had not yet been attacked by insects and snails.
Arriving in a kitchen, he would check whether there were any worms hiding inside. He had his hands full and had to go back.
From the forest, he recognized the town and its river not far away, which he found again and went back into the town.
He went out onto the street and of course, all attention was quickly on him and only half an hour later he was in the kitchen of an apartment.
He ran a little bit of cold water over the mushrooms and removed the stem before halving or quartering them one by one so that he could check whether these mushrooms were infested with worms, which they were not and cut out the rest of the stem before peppering and salting both sides while the pan was heating up.
He put some olive oil in the pan when it was hot enough and waited a moment before putting some pieces of mushroom in. Immediately they hissed and splashed around because of the wetness.
The smell of the frying mushrooms filled the kitchen, making him hungrier and making him smile more.
While he was preparing a plate, fork and knife, the door to the apartment opened. Of course, Reich knew it was his old friend Italy.
"Reich?", he asked. The answer was: "I'm in the kitchen!"
After a few steps, the two saw each other and greeted each other with a hug and they patted each other on the back in a friendly way.
"I was afraid for you!", said Kingdom of Italy and took his colleague by the shoulders. He had a big smile.
"Sorry, but I just had to get away from all this!", Reich apologized to him. Italy looked at him more curiously. He said: "I just wanted to be somewhere where America and the Deep State can't find out where I am! I don't want to be afraid for my life! And I lost the meaning and was searching for it!"
Third Reich was hugged tightly by Italy. At first he was surprised, but then returned the kind gesture.
Someone else entered the apartment, which were clearly heavier steps.
"Is that-" Reich wanted to ask. Kingdom of Italy interrupted him: "Yes!" They separated and Soviet Union entered the room, who was also relieved.
Third German Reich remembered his thoughts of wanting to give Soviet a chance, so he looked at him and asked: "Were you worried too?"
Soviet Union was surprised by this, but answered him: "A bit! Not as much as Italy!"
Reich giggled and said: "How about we eat together!"
He went back to his frying mushrooms and turned them over.
"What are those?" asked the big Countryhuman, confused. "Parasols!", said Reich and told him, "I salted and peppered them and am frying them right now!"
"I don't know how something so simple works so well, but they're good, even if Reich sometimes overcooks them!", said Kingdom of Italy.
Soviet said: "I don't know... mushrooms are poisonous!"
"Not these! They're edible! I've been eating them since I was a kid!", Reich told him, "Try one when one's ready!"
Soviet wanted to be friendly, but didn't really want to try the mushroom. He had never eaten mushrooms before.
Reich took care of the first batch of mushrooms and Italy happily grabbed one before the cook took one himself and placed a small piece in front of Soviet Union, who just stared at it uncertainly.
"Big Russian, try it!", said Italy.
Reich said: "Soviet, really try a bite and if you don't like it, you have a kitchen paper to spit in and wash your mouth with water!"
"How do I know it's not a poisonous mushroom?", he said.
Third Reich just said with a smile: "I know about these mushrooms! Trust me!"
Soviet Union sighed and looked at the mushroom before sticking his fork into it to bring it closer to his face. He looked at the piece carefully and smelled it. It was crispy brown on one side, soft on the other and smelled inconspicuously of mushroom.
Reich sat down next to him with a piece on his fork and slowly and eating his piece with a broad smile while Soviet watched him, which only Italy noticed.
Again, Reich's positive energy was so strong that the big Countryhuman pulled himself together and tried his piece.
He didn't know the taste of it at all. It was new, but good... somehow.
Then he looked down again for more and noticed Reich's happy expression and just rolled his eyes, whereupon Reich giggled and stood up to turn the pieces.
The three happily ate all the mushrooms.
