Chapter 10: The Bloodmoon

    Today was the day of the bloodmoon. I couldn't help watching Noah as he paced around the room. From time to time he'd stop, shake his head and start walking again. I wanted to know what was going through his head. I just wanted him to just stop and drink my blood so I could stop worrying about him.

  I tried to go back to reading my book but I was interrupted. Noah gently took my book from my hands and placed my bookmark inside it. He climbed onto the bed beside me. He just held me. I didn't know what to think of this other than it was nice. He smelled so good. He smelled like the forest and freshly cut wood.

  We stayed there for a while until he gently grabbed my chin and tilted my head up to meet his eyes. His pupils were razor thin but he still had his dark brown eyes. He looked at me as if he was asking permission. I simply nodded and gave him an encouraging smile. He leaned down to my neck and placed a gentle kiss before he bit me.

   I couldn't even describe how I felt in this moment it was so intense. But nothing hurt. It was a euphoric feeling. Like I was floating. I felt him slowly draw away and lick the part that he bit before placing more tender kisses along my neck.

  "Thank you"

  "You're welcome Noah" He went back to how he was holding me before but we were now laying down.

   The feeling of having his cold arms around me underneath the warm blanket was so comforting. My eyelids began to grow heavy so I shut my eyes and leaned in closer to Noah.

Noah's POV:

   She's amazing. She took that like a champ. I couldn't describe this woman with words. She was incredible. She's adapted to everything well and even with a smile on her face.

   I listened to her even breathing and her slowed heartbeat. I knew she was asleep. I'm glad she was too. That just proves how comfortable she is with me. I know I need to take her somewhere outside of the castle soon. I'm not exactly sure where yet but I will figure that out soon. I soon joined her in sleep.
