Yu-Gi-Oh GX: the aftermath

Part 4

*8:00 am Saturday morning...*

The sunlight entered the bedroom of the Kuriboh haired boy through his window and he covered his head with a pillow to block it from his face.

The Kuriboh haired boy wanted to sleep in just for today since it was his day off from work. The spirit was bored however and couldn't wait for his friend to wake up. He floated inside of the bedroom and tried to wake him up.

The Kuriboh haired boy is snoring and deeply tucked into his bed.

Jay: "Hello? Dude are you still sleeping?" He called out to him but to be met with nothing but silence as the Kuriboh haired boy was still asleep.

The spirit was annoyed and refused to give up. He hoped that his friend wasn't ignoring him and tried again to wake him up.

Jay: "Jaden?" He floated above the bed.

The Kuriboh haired boy groaned and his eyes were half open. He heard a familiar voice in his dream that was calling to him.

Jay: "Jaden wake up!" He floated upside down in an attempt to scare him awake.

Jaden: "There's that voice again from my dream." He tried to ignore the voice.

Jay: "You're not dreaming." He replied.

Jaden: "Huh?" He rubbed his eyes with his hands and finally opened them.

The spirit floated upside down in front of him. He smiled when he saw the Kuriboh haired boy finally awake. The Kuriboh haired boy blinked twice and realized the spirit was there. He had a delayed reaction until he noticed how close he was.

Jay: "Hi." He waved while he floating upside down.

Jaden: "Ahhh!" He screamed.

Jay: "Ahhh!" He screamed back.

Jaden: "Oh god you're real." He leaned back in his bed.

Jay: "Yup. It's me, Jay. Remember?" He said.

Jaden: "So I was talking to a ghost last night..." He sat up in his bed and facepalmed.

Jay: "More than that, silly. I'm a spirit who looks like you." He giggled.

Jaden: "Oh great." He groaned.

Jay: "What's wrong?" He asked.

Jaden: "I kinda already have enough spirits to deal with." He made air quotes with his fingers.

Jay: "What do ya mean?" He floated right side up and raised an eyebrow.

Jaden: "I'll tell you more about it in the story tonight." He got up from his bed and walked to the bathroom.

Jay: "Why not now?" He floated behind, following the Kuriboh haired boy.

Jaden: "Because I wanna enjoy my day off." He brushed his teeth and spit out the toothpaste.

Jay: "You have a job?" He scratched the back of his head.

Jaden: "Yup. I work at a game store downtown. It's not the best job but it pays well enough." He brushed his hair with his hairbrush and applied his eyeliner.

Jay: "What do you do when you're not at work?" He floated towards him and looked into the mirror.

Jaden: "You're about to find out." He walked out the bathroom.

Jay: "Ooh I can't wait to see." He followed him out of the bathroom, floating behind him.

Jaden: "I need to get dressed. Do you mind leaving the room for a little bit?" He grabbed his clothes from his dresser and placed them on the bed.
