The Kuriboh haired boy had been feeling hopeful lately ever since he met his friend named Hikari in his dreams. But his last dream about them, changed everything. The Kuriboh haired boy learned the truth about the person of light. He was shocked to learn the secret. But he took it with an open mind, showing his excitement to meet Hikari in their real form. They both agreed to meet each other the next night.
However, the Kuriboh haired boy and his friend do not remember this conversation because their memories were erased. They only remember old memories thus far but the dragon remembers everything that happened. All the Kuriboh haired boy could think about was his dream being peaceful, allowing him to have a great day at work.
He came back to his apartment with a smile on his face as he pet the brown cat named Pharaoh whom he loved. The dragon appeared in front of him and greeted him.
Jaden: "Hey Yubel." He stopped petting Pharaoh and looked at the dragon.
Yubel: "Hello Jaden. How was your day at work?" They floated beside him.
Jaden: "It was fun. I got to help a bunch of kids make their first duel monsters deck. We even played a few duels but some games I took it easy on 'em." He locked the door behind him and walked to his bedroom to put his stuff down.
Yubel: "That sounds like a fun day. Usually dueling for you is out of the question. Are you alright?" She flew after him, following him from behind.
Jaden: "Yeah why?" He put his stuff down in his bedroom.
Yubel: "I was wondering because the last few months you've resented Duel Monsters." She landed on top of the Kuriboh haired boy's bed.
Jaden: "What? Can't I like my job for once and play a few games?" He sat down on his bed next to the dragon.
Yubel: "No that's not what I meant, Jaden." They facepalmed.
Jaden: "Then what's the problem?" He poked the dragon's nose with his fingers.
Yubel: "Nothing. I'm just making sure you're okay." She smiled at him.
Jaden: "Thanks but I don't need you to look for me all the time, Yubel." He kept poking the dragon's nose.
Yubel: "Why you little ingrate..." They bit the Kuriboh haired boy's finger.
Jaden: "Ow! Hey what was that for?" He took his finger back and held it in pain.
Yubel: "You kept poking me. Never poke a dragon. If I could breathe fire, I would've burned your hand." She crossed her arms and huffed.
Jaden: "Fine I won't poke you. I was just messing around." He rubbed the finger that the dragon had bitten.
Yubel: "All is forgiven, Jaden. I wonder if your mood changed from your dream last night." They kissed him on the forehead.
Jaden: "Maybe because it was a great dream but I don't remember what happened." He scratched the back of his head.
Yubel: "What's the last thing you remember from your dream?" She hugged the Kuriboh haired boy.
Jaden: "Something about meeting someone tomorrow night. I was excited about it this morning but I don't know why." He fidgeted with his hands.
Yubel: "Oh then it wasn't just a dream." They held the Kuriboh haired boy's hand.
Jaden: "What do you mean?" He tilted his head to the left.
Yubel: "That's for you to find out for yourself, Jaden. I won't spoil it." She smiled at him and rubbed his head.
